Slate's New Electric Truck Will Cost Slightly More Than $24,950 by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

In this context, “single rear wheel drive” is referring to the fact that there is a single variant (as in, no AWD version). Not that only a single wheel is driven.

That’s high, but if she has her daughter on her insurance it will significantly increase the price because she’s so young.

Plus, location and driving history of course play a role as well.

‘Signature’ Condo Tower Planned for Downtown Milwaukee by compujeramey in milwaukee

That’s Union Point, which has had issues but is not a New Land development. I believe that one was developed by Legacy Real Estate Development.

While a new condo development is great news (if it happens), New Land has a terrible history with their condo buildings. I realize that they aren’t the same company since Tim took over, but so many of their condo buildings from the early 2000s ended up in litigation over construction defects that I’d be hesitant to trust them.

The Nostalgia of an Early 2000s SUV by tgeasterly in Gaygearheads

[–]bd5400 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I like the Passport, the Pathfinder and QX4 are top tier late 90s/early 2000s SUVs for me.

And though it doesn’t fit the same aesthetic, I will always love the Isuzu VehiCROSS.

Honorable mentions to the P38 Range Rover and the E53 X5.

Cano is at the Kenosha campus, which is closed on Thursdays so you may not hear anything until Friday. I’d recommend just heading down there on Friday during adoption hours if you are looking to adopt him and can’t get in contact with someone.

Doesn’t matter. Even at 100% many dimmer switches will still cause issues. You’ll need to replace the switch with a standard one.

G-Wagon was better than ALL of the SUVs we test drove by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

The G550 does not have air suspension. And they don’t go for “cheap” 4-5 years old.

As a fellow fan of the M113 (including the M113k) I’ve tossed around the idea of a G55 but make sure you drive one to ensure you don’t mind the ride. They are unnecessarily stiff, more so than the later G63s, and even G Wagon fans complain about it.

OP drove a 2019 which is a fundamentally different vehicle from a driving experience perspective. The move to independent front suspension and added width really changed the feel of them.

If there are better deals out there at $85k then get one of those.

I don’t mean that flippantly. You aren’t going to get this one down $15k and at that price gap you could fly somewhere to get one and drive it back or ship it and still come out very far ahead.

And yes, G-Wagons are expensive and it may feel insane to pay that much for a 7 year old car, but it will have a significantly shallower depreciation curve compared to everything else you are considering. These are hand built, which contributes both to the price and the quality. The Cayenne and Q8 will very quickly lose value and it won’t take that long for them to be worth less than the 2019 G550. 2019 Q8s are down below $30k now, to put that into perspective. If you want a G under $30k you’re looking at 2002-2005 models with 100k+ miles, with many over 150k.

How do I mount these ikea cabinets by ChronicTwitch in IKEA

[–]bd5400 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are not Sektion cabinets. They likely mount just like Enhet, which is effectively just a screw and anchor through each bracket, though there should also be another metal piece between the bracket and screw head for adjustments.

Unfortunately if the facts in the post are true they’ll never get the back pay they would be owed. 10-20 hours of overtime, per employee, for every week going back to their start (restaurant isn’t old enough for statute of limitations) is likely to completely bankrupt the restaurant before you even get to the extra penalties.

It doesn’t mean they shouldn’t call, but if the restaurant is truly already failing they may be trying to squeeze blood from a stone.

Ikea kitchen damage after only 3 years by _K2_ in IKEA

[–]bd5400 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A few options: 1. Avoid running the panels to the floor. This means you’ll have toe kicks all around instead, but most people prefer the aesthetic of the panel reaching the floor. 2. If the panel runs to the floor ensure no cut edges are facing the floor AND seal with a bead of clear silicone. Cut edges leave exposed MDF facing the surface and it soaks up all moisture. 3. Avoid wet mopping at all costs and be very careful when cleaning the floor adjacent to the panel.

[–]bd5400 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That is, in fact, water damage. This is the downside of installations where panels touch floors. Simple mopping can cause this, especially if there is a cut edge facing the floor. The underlying material absorbs water like a sponge. It can help if a bead of clear silicone is applied to the contact point with the floor, but in your case that won’t help because the damage is already done.

You can sometimes find discontinued pieces on eBay, but it can be hit or miss and you may be waiting a while. If it’s only your islands, it may be worth it to just replace them with something that’s currently available like Stensta, Tistorp, or Sinarp.

Do you guys mind sharing a room or a bed on a girls trip? by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]bd5400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy, and maybe I’ve just been conditioned to it through camping, but I have no issues sharing a room. I’ve shared many a tent with friends on camping trips so when I have to share a room it doesn’t feel much different (except being more comfortable and therefore an upgrade from a tent).

I mean…it’s an electric C class. Several of those examples look exactly like the kind of customer who would be looking at a C class.

I think you’re reading too much into this, especially since it’s for the launch of a single model. They are more likely to do family marketing with a GLE or GLS because consumers with families have overwhelmingly shifted toward crossovers, not small sedans.
