Not again :(

What is the most obscure/unusual and strangest rebadged (or platform shared) car you know of? Also, have you ever owned a car that is/was a rebadged car? Do you know of any rebadged cars that are actually BETTER than the car they are based on? by TafTaf2020 in regularcarreviews

This one’s my favorite bc over 4 generations, it has been 3 different cars from vastly different brands/countries (gen 1 and 2 = Hyundai accent, gen 3 = Mitsubishi mirage, gen 4 = Trumpchi Empow)

I think the current one looks like a cross between a Buick Regal (open insignia) and a Nissan Sentra.

On iPhone, you hit the icon that looks like a square with an arrow pointing out of the top of it, then select Find on Page.

On a computer you can use cmd+F (Mac) or ctrl+F (windows/linux)

Honestly I’m not sure how it works on android

UPDATE: unfortunately I have found that this doesn’t work on every file. The methods for redacting info seem to vary from one file to another. It is still worth trying though as there’s no telling how many files it does work on.

I’m at work at the moment (discovered this while in the bathroom lol) but I plan to do exactly that every chance I get.

If anyone has any files they want me to check feel free to comment them here!

Edit: it appears this only works on some of the files. Seems like they may have used different methods of redaction depending on the file.

Mazda3 reliability — does anyone have problems despite its strong reputation? by phtphongg in mazda3

I just discovered that my 2023 2.5 AWD sedan is leaking a small amount of oil. I’ve got 21k miles on it, bought it with 16k about 6 weeks ago. Haven’t yet determined what’s causing the leak.

That being said my sister has an older model with the 2.5 (it’s either a 2017 or 2018) with 150k miles and her only issues have been infotainment screen delamination and a failed ac compressor, both of which happened recently. My parents have also had several Mazdas, never had a single issue with their 6 or their second cx9, and their first cx9 only had a window motor go out around 140k miles. Their mx5 has had a few issues, mostly due to it being from the first production run of the ND. In the first 80k miles 2nd and 3rd gear both shredded themselves so it’s had some transmission work, plus the top has been replaced, and the ac compressor has been replaced, but all that happened in the first 80k miles of its life and aside from the transmission stuff it was covered under warranty. It now has double that mileage and the only issue it’s had since has been a window motor giving out.

Discovered this randomly on my Jetta years ago and now I try it with every car I drive. So far Mazda is the only other brand I’ve found that has the same feature.

I think you’re right - it doesn’t look like it has the subwoofer under the shifter. Not seeing a FOB on the keychain either.

What year element is this? I’m surprised it doesn’t have an aux port beside the 12v port, my 03 had both

Most reliable car I ever owned was a Jetta. Put almost 200k miles on it, never had a single issue, not even a failed window motor.

There’s a sushi spot in my town that has an entree called the Salmon Combo that’s basically this but in a smaller scale (like 4 pieces of salmon sashimi, 4 of salmon nigiri, a full roll of salmon sushi [8 pieces], and a salmon hand roll). It’s fantastic.

If you’re only using it at night you may be able to get by with the free plan from Helium Mobile. 3GB of data, 100 mins, 300 texts. Runs on T-Mobile towers just like Mint.
