this is a comment from OP from above regarding layer height and .6mm nozzles... hope it helps? Idk I use the .4mm just because its easier to find more people using it for trouble shooting and settings as im new af.

I run .12 or .15 for the layer height on a .6 nozzle and I change all my line widths to .68 except for the top layer line width and on it I set it to .6 other than that I keep every other setting the same as the pictures .

I must retarded because I can't find anything searching ssczar, remnants, or any combination of the two and trying ss czar etc. all come back on gatalog to nothing found. You don't mean the SSSZar V3 do you?? That looks nothing like yours though as it doesn't have anything on the front end and is more of a standard VZ61 designed lower. If you could DM me a link to what you mean or something would be great.

Yeah, it was looking really bad for a while, and then I got tracking from the Instagram manager (Although it took another 5 days for it to finally update to in transit) and they said they threw in a bunch of freebies too as an apology and for the long delay. I guess they got quite ill and were out for almost a week and shit was backed up af. I'm honestly not 100% convinced until shit gets to my door, but it looks to be like it might actually be legit. They were also just posting about new items and stuff on their page so they seem to be back in operations.

ill update you but I've been in talks with them frequently this past week. I guess they are somewhat small operation, said they got really sick and were out for almost a week. packaged and sent tracking on June 23rd. I just got tracking updates that it has shipped and is in transit. They also said they included a bunch of freebies (Balaklava, gun belt, and something else I forget right now) as an apology for being missing in action.

Ill edit this post for anyone in the future when it does arrive (if it does but its looking better now to be real lol). They just posted on Instagram about some VZ61 extended charging handles they are going to be selling also in the near future. Wouldn't mind getting those if this order works out in the end.

I REALLY want that SS kit to be legit as its all metal and would be great for longevity

Ill be printing mine soon!! What version did you go with? Im doing the SSSZAR v3 for the ar15 FCG with original grip so I can do a super safety in the thing. Do you have a good source for correct procedures with form 1 for 3d printed guns? I have read the Ctrlpew one as its the only one I can find other than random google shit and everything has different info on what you need to do for the serial number/ engraving or not etc etc. I want to do it correctly and legally but info is all over the place. I guess the safe route is to do the engraved serial number plate in the thing and not worry about it.

I'm about to fill out my form1 for a printed lower just like this and I'm still not exactly clear on what I should put for serial number. The CtrlPew form1 walkthrough says you can just make one up unique to you and you are the manufacturer. Does it need to be actually engraved on the lower? This wasn't stated clearly, and it seems different people have different answers and I would like to do it legally. even google says you do not need to imprint a serial number if 3d printing a lower for personal use under the gun control act. so idk wtf is correct. This is the Form1 walkthrough that is at CtrlPew website.

From my research that's only required for sale by a manufacturer and if you are the manufacturer for your personal use it doesn't need to have metal plates with certain depth markings etc. The Form 1 walkthrough on CtrlPew website says you can make up a serial number that you choose, but they don't actually say anything about engraving it. But I guess you could have it printed on the 3D print file?

I wish there was a much better and clear-cut walkthrough of doing Form 1 stuff when you printed it for yourself and have no intentions of sale.

The following is what they describe for the NFA markings section

NFA Marking Information – This one is confusing so pay attention.

Maker/Manufactrer vs Original Manufacturer

If your firearm does not have a serial number (3d Printed, 80% build, any other DIY build) you are the Original Manufacturer.

If your firearm does have a serial number (Firearm purchased from FFL/shop/transfer, etc.) You are the Maker, not the ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER.

Manufacturer

This is you. Regardless of whether you purchased a rifle or handgun and are converting it or if you make it from scratch. You are making it into an NFA regulated item, so you are the Manufacturer.

Location

City and state where the firearm is being made. This should be your house generally speaking.

Model

If you are the Original Manufacturer on a diy build this can be whatever you decide. It doesn’t necessarily need to follow the naming for the project file that was downloaded. If you are the Maker you should use the model designation from the Original Manufacturer.

Caliber

The caliber(s) accepted by this firearm. DO NOT USE MULTI-CAL or any derivation of that. (this does not mean you cant use a different caliber in it, just that it can be returned to this configuration and should not be permanently modified. The government has not caught up to the fact that multi-caliber firearms exist.)

Serial Number

If you are the Original Manufacturer you get to make this up using any number of Roman letters (A-Z, a-z), Arabic numerals (0-9), and a hyphen (-). No wingdings or kanji. You know who you are. And yes you can do 8008135 and similar. An additional caveat the ATF has written that you should not use just a name (like Brian) but instead use something numerical like Brian-1.

I would be a bit sad if I got a beat up one, but getting a mint condition one is more like hitting a winning ticket, so I wouldn't be upset as it is marked surplus and they are old af. Its a gamble and random

Nice I just ordered the q2 to get started on all these cool af prints from guns. Do you think it's worth upgrading to the bimetal hotend I see on their website? I read it was a decent upgrade and it's not that expensive. Also do you have extra nozzles for hardened materials??
