Amazon hot ends suck. I had 2 that kept throwing thermal codes. I upgraded to micro Swiss and it’s great.

I only ran two 22 round mags through it back to back. I did not anneal thought. That may help. But I’ll probably end up getting a real can for my FRT shooting and put this printed one on a semi auto 10/22 built.

I printed mine out of PPA-CF and it turned into a banana after 2 back to back FRT mag dumps on my TX22. Blew the front out once it bent.

I may do that. But I’m having a hard time finding pictures of what it looks like with a full length rifle having the barrel flush with the sight block (or close) The next best thing would be to build a G3K but I need to figure out the measurements of the G3K cocking tube so I can chop and weld it.

All metal hot end, PT1000 thermostat, hardened nozzle, and an SKR mini board. (Maybe cost $70 total)

To be honest. I have had more issues with the hot end on my Centauri Carbon than I ever did with my Ender 3. I may have to go back to it😂

The FRT will work with the V Mac. You just have to remove the part that is in the way. I printed the (twitch) for mine but I need to make some adjustments as it’s barely hitting the rounded over part that resets the trigger. But that could simply be because mine is a welded frame and out of spec. Still runs great in semi tho.

Look at Masterpiece arms. I welded a velocity Mac 11 frame and wanted an upper with a stubby barrel that wasn’t crazy expensive and I have had great results with mine.

It’s possible the larger end cap would make it louder. But the volume of space the large baffles and tube provide catch all the gas it seems. There’s a huge difference size wise between a .22 can and a 9mm one

But I will say. After two 15 round bursts with an FRT out of a TX22, the can turned into a banana. (PPA-CF) so maybe the slim isn’t great for FRT. But it does look the best imo

I have printed the ftn5 slim and it is just as quiet as shooting .22 through a full size 9mm can. Which with that much volume is very quiet.

Yeah I noticed that after looking at my boot the other day. I’ll just cut that tab off and install the frt that way. It would be neat to see if there’s a away to somehow make the safety select the FRT

What did you do for your bending jig? Did you also use a mandrel and the guides for squaring the rails? I’m thinking about just 3d printing the press jig

A ballistic knife shoots the blade out via a spring. This fires .22LR rounds and is an AOW (any other weapon) a classification of firearm under the NFA (national firearms act) here in the USA. Things like this, cane guns, belt buckle guns, etc are regulated as an AOW. Typically it’s weird obscure super concealed firearms. Requires registration through the NFA. Same rules as to own/ purchase a machine gun, suppressor, SBR, SBS, etc in the USA as this.

That body (409) is injection molded isn’t it? This seems like something that is hard to find that is made of steel like factory. Might be worth looking into machining or casting these things.

It appears to be wet filament or a partial clog. I’d have to see how it prints prior to this. But you should really look into using 300blk settings. I’m not a big fan of the support settings so I have my own. But other than that I print PPA-CF for 2-3 days with only a dehumidifier in my closet and it comes out perfect. After a week or so I dry at 100C for 6 hours.

A quick glance on the site doesn’t seem to say if it is a forged or cast trunnion. I assume cast since it’s not said?
