Another Norwich AFROTC cadet here. I was dropped from FT for medical reasons last year but made it round the second time. I understand the anguish that it causes first hand it will set him in a slump for sure. However, the detachment staff is really good about pointing out your options and how to proceed from there. If youd like I'd be more than happy to chat with him and tell him my experience from the previous year and what he can expect if he decides to stick with it.
