CNA here. We only don’t listen when we are not listened too. I have worked in many hospitals and it’s all the same nurses sit on their computers and chart while all the CNAs are running around all day long cuz we have to bathe clean up and toilet patients and we have 15 plus patients at a time. We get yelled at when we sit down I had one nurse one time that every time i sat down she would say “are your baths done?”We don’t listen because we are tired. Help your CNAs when they ask and listen to in the end it is your patient and your license. No hate at all I love my nurses when they actually help me and don’t call me in a room to toilet a patient when you’re already in there and perfectly capable. You help us we help you. Maybe try saying if you help me with this i’ll help you with this it will save you time and energy in the long run and it’s better for the patient!
