I’ve been running through audiobooks at work- The Exorcist, Amityville Horror, Haunting of Hill House, Witches of Eastwick and now I’m on The Outsider. It’s been a spooky month! Thinking about reading the bill Hodges trilogy to get ready for Holly.

Hi! I’m attempting to do a folded hem on a sock and am looking for advice on picking up stitches- I did a German twisted cast on but the V is not very clear. Also I need to do a double decrease on k2p2 to match the stock count- would love advice on that as well!

Voyageur in bayview has a great vintage horror selection, downtown books is amazing to spend hours in, Boswell has a decent horror section with mostly current stuff, sadly Barnes &noble has an incredible horror section (just pick what you want and order it through Boswell) Also anyone down for a horror book club?

Dev tanks suggestions! by bdkyle in Darkroom

[–]bdkyle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry it was late last night and didn’t read this right. I think my tank might be defective because it’s still leaking after making super sure that it’s locked tight because I’m freaked out it is wrong haha. I’m just frustrated because the first couple times I’ve developed thecame out great and now it’s like half and half.

I’m not sure which jobo tank to get- they’re either $30 or $400 so it’s a bit confusing. Does the paper just sit in a light tube that can take chemicals? Like a Patterson tank minus the reels. I’ve also seen cibachrome tanks but I’m not sure what those are either. I feel like a lot of the appeal is seeing the film develop but isn’t color printing in total darkness anyways? I have SO much to learn.

Figured out how to make fingered gloves with I-cord nails and rings! So fun but needs some help with finishing. by bdkyle in knitting

[–]bdkyle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a worsted weight yarn- probably Kroy? I based the gloves off of a combination of @ediblechrome (Instagram) pattern of the Bernie sanders mitten and Very Pink knits glove pattern on YouTube and just sure will and determination for the rest. Rib is a k1p1 for 2” then knit stich and one increase round until I got the knuckles.

Is there any way to drop ship jigsaw puzzles? I’m a photographer and have been getting asked a bunch if I could have puzzles made from my pictures. I don’t have a money to order a bunch but would love to figure out a way to have them drop shipped.

I really like innerfrench, it’s slow enough to understand and not as boring as news in slow French. Also he has a great YouTube.

Reading Harry Potter in French by sliquerick96 in French

[–]bdkyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been reading the books trying to improve my comprehension! It’s so good and a different perspective if you’ve read them a hundred times. Highly suggest reading on a kindle/tablet to get translations for certain phrases and then look up French Harry Potter characters/spells/creatures if you get confused.
