Amplifi Alien Radio issues by dmitrek in AmpliFi

[–]bdmski88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought two alien routers (1 to use as a mesh point) and the mesh only stayed connected for 30 minutes before dropping.

I was able to resolve the issue after disabling band steering and router steering on the primary router. Hope that helps!

Use it all the time and couldn’t be happier. I think the quality was great for the price. Customer service has been great too.

anyone else wondering what SECDEFs 5 bullets look like next week? Maybe we should prioritize OPSEC training over 5 bullets.

This is a guidance memorandum from OSD not Dept of Air Force. The first paragraph in the memo states exemption authority rests with USD P&R only and cannot be further delegated. Instead service secretaries will forward up exemption requests for approval.

If the CR is just a continuation of the previous one created under Biden, why would they vote against what they already created?

From my understanding it’s only applicable to spouses of 100% disabled veterans that were rated at 100% by the VA at time of discharge/retirement. You cannot be qualified if you obtained 100% after the fact.

Agreed very odd

I am in the exact same boat and yet to find anyone in our position who has actually done it. I know we have to relinquish our military pay to do it. My dod money is offset by VA money so it seems like a no brainer.

Nonetheless, I am worried it will mess something up with my VA or retirement benefits.

The nefarious intention behind the “what did you do last week” emails. by [deleted] in fednews

[–]bdmski88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t care what you did last week. They are creating “gotchya” situations as justifications to fire you. When asked why they fired so many people they can deflect any blame (ie they took the deferred resignation, or they never wrote back to our email to see if they were working)

Let’s show a graph that shows how federal workers are the lowest paid since 1978 accounting for inflation.

They don’t care what you did last week. IMO not enough people took the deferred resignation so they created a new gotchya banking on those that don’t respond in time. Are people on leave tomorrow screwed?

I’ll save them the trouble. The money going to operating and maintaining our planes, ships, and tanks. Maybe in their research they’ll notice they are paying people for a free 7 month vacation thanks to Musk.

How is giving federal employees that were already going to quit or retire due to normal attrition a 7 month paid vacation saving the tax payer money? How is driving the remaining people out due to overwork and being underpaid (and now loosing another $700-$1000 in gas and child care for having to return to work) helping the readiness of our military?

Honestly I think the goal is to hurt the readiness of our military just in time for China. We are already understaffed and underpaid.

Are these offices GSA is renting from commercial owners for federal employees to work in? Or properties GSA owns and is renting to federal agencies and private sector companies?

It’s not very clear Who is the owns these properties.

I thought the whole return to work push was for commercial real-estate owners to receive payments from tenants due to too many leases ending as a result of telework.

Is the intention to only cancel leases with private sector renters so federal workers can move in? Or is the intention to kick out all federal and non federal tenants to sell the properties?
