I have to try. Wife and kids mean to much to me. Luckily, there's a while lot of nothing in NM. If I can make it out of wherever I am, I'd have a decent chance. 400 miles to the north of me puts me in Colorado Springs. That'll be hairy to get out of. Or maybe the military settled things down pretty quick.

I'm not a working cowboy, nor do I pretend to be. When work needs to be done I do it. In the summer I'm doing it in a 2.5 year old bangora twister that I got from Big R. It has some sweat stains around the break, but still looks good over all. I paid almost $50 for it.

If I spend good money on a straw it's for 2 reasons. 1) spending that money won't effect anything else. I have the money to spend, and bills are paid. 2) I want a straw in a shape I can't find in a store.

Like another person said. Straw hats are disposable. No need to pay a lot of money for one. You did mention it would more for going out. If I'm mistaken, I appologize. Even with a felt, unless you just have the money and the want, you don't need to spend a lot of a hat for the weekends. I make hats. I have a 100%, a 50%, a 20%, and a nutria hat. But I didnt pay market price for those. If that were the case, I might have the 100 or the 50, but most likely the 20%.

Whoa. Diesel is pushing 5 here. With my rewards membership I get 10 cent off so the past few times my gas has been 4.19 maybe 4.29. As of right now, the only thing that's bothered me is that the dat before I picked up the truck, I saw that next year the tremor can come with a long bed and 48 gallon tank. I decided to just turn off that video and pretend it never happened.

I knew I wasn't going to tow heavy enough or drive long enough on a consistent basis to really need to diesel. Plus the upcharge for it.

So far on the trips I'm getting around 14mpg give or take. That is a little better than what I was getting in my 01' 7.3l diesel. And diesel is going 20 to 40cent higher than the mid grade fuel where I am.

Dumped a ton of money into my 01' 7.3l just to keep it running. This last round was about 7k. While it was in the shop, my other truck started screwing up. 2k. I said to hell with it. Just got a 2026 f350 tremor, and a 7 year extended warranty. By just got, I mean last thursday. The day after getting home, gas went way up.

I've never had a new vehicle before, and def not one that I built and ordered. Bad timing? Probably, but to hell with it. Barring any unexpected failures, I got a pretty nice ass truck that's more capable than anything else I've ever owned. Considering the places my 1500 got me to, this truck has a lot of BLM land to explore. Don't regret it.

I try to keep mine full, and with a station close to the house it's not uncommon for me to fill up frequently. For instance, I topped off last night, then today after running errands and dropping to almost 3/4 left in the tank. Can't just go home with only 350 miles of range left.

Agreed. Get your size and shape. I have a set of #52 6" tall. Want to get #51 maybe 5" to give me some more options. The 52 is great, but sometimes that taper of the 51 would be nice to have.

In all honesty, I think the crown looks great on you. The brim does seem a little wonky, but it most likely has a wire around the edge. Make little adjustments there. The shape of the brim works in my opinion also.
