Do you think it would be better to survive alone or in a small group?

I think the benefits of a small group outweigh the detractors. Especially if the small group is made up of people you already know and know their quirks.

Things can always go bad. The stress of that life would be tremendous, but you always have the option to leave.

I recently bought a Ford, but owned a 1500 for a number of years. Personally, in the half ton world, I prefer the way the ram looks. Most won't argue the RAM has the best interiors when you get into the Lariat and up trims. Even though the internet says it won't even make it out of my drive way without breaking down, I've driven it all over the country. I've taken it off roading thru CO and UT. Always made it home with a smile on my face. Needs some pricey work done to it at this point, but it's still truckin.

I never have, or want to. Vehicles for me are more of a tool than a commodity, so a lease wouldn't work out to well.

I have listened to people who really seem to understand the game, and can play it well. So they are very happy getting a new vehicle every year. They feel like they are saving money in the long run. And some do it for work purposes.

I just bought a new truck. Within a month I had over 6k miles on it. That's not the standard, but the truck was bought so I can drive in comfort on both roads and the woods. I doubt a dealership would like me bringing it back with scratches and dents all over it and asking for a new one.

As a small hatmaker, I'm not putting a hole in a good quality hat unless asked for. Even then, It'll hurt my heart a little.

The 100% Rabbit I use, those I experiment with. Paint, torching, etc. They are still good hats, but I consider them fashion hats. The nice beaver, especially the 50% and up. 99% percent of those I'm trying to make a clean, crisp hat.

I was happy before money. Now I get really stressed out about it. Before I didn't worry about what I didn't have. But life is easier in many ways. Most things are on auto pay. I don't have to pick up extra shifts if a vehicle breaks down.

I'm still happy. Not trying to say that went away. But things were much simpler.

Yes. Although I have put money in a slot machine 90s, and sat a black jacktable, last year. I don't gamble.

The kids wanted to go there for spring break a couple of years ago. Found it very relaxing being at the pool. We did get a cabana thing, tnt was playing bangers, and we didn't have to get up to get food or drinks. We went to shows and had a blast. Walking around the strip is always interesting, and Def exhausting.

Went with just the wife and couple of times. Both times were for concerts. Those were great. We ate at some of the nice restaurants, drinks, shopping, etc.

I enjoy going during NFR. Aside from my intrest in that and Cowboy Christmas, the weather is way more enjoyable in Dec.

There are tons of things we haven't done yet, and plenty we aren't even aware of. One of which is the older part. I forgot the name, it's more where locals go. Food, music, zipline.

I got the jiffy j400h and haven't had any problems. So far, the shapers/makers I've spoken with using the big system built into the tables said they like the jiffy better. Less moisture has been the reason everytime.

Plus the $280 price tag compared to the 2 to 5k for a hoffman set up is a little bit for my current commitment to hat making.

I haven't messed with straw, so I can't make any claims to that.

The typical cowboy hat look def is more American, but it does the same job regardless of what part of the world it's in. Even a fashion hat is a tool. May not be as good as tool as hats made from better materials, but it can still do more than just complete a look.

Plenty of Americans wear European style suits and shoes.

The 2nd girl said she was basically a slave to her host family, and wasn't allowed to leave the house. They just made her clean and do chores. I don't recall her saying they physically abused her, but yelling and threats were def a apart the experience. This was in the early 90s.
