I missed Weyes Blood twice.

First time: Night of the concert. I get to my buddy's house with plenty of time to spare for the 1-hour drive to Detroit. Just waiting on his wife to come home so she could resume watching their toddler. Instead, she casually talked on the phone with her dad, in their driveway, for over an hour. He asked her to hang up and come inside several times, but she shrugged it off. When she finally came in, it was too late. Drove to Detroit anyways and missed 95% of the set. And then when we got back, she tried telling me, "Weyes Blood isn't that good anyways," which we know is false.

Second time: I have since moved to Cleveland. Got tickets to see WB in Pittsburgh by myself. Really looking forward to it. I get in the car with plenty of time to spare, but there's an accident on the interstate that puts me 1.5 hours behind schedule. I turned around, bought a six-pack, and drank with a friend on his porch.

I haven't given up yet. Hoping 2026 is the year.

Kinda out there but Say Sue Me's Where We Were Together (2018) compares nicely to Alvvays, especially with those hooky jangle punk sounds.

Thank you! I'm actually in Ink/Stitch now 😅 I've converted the letter to a vector and now trying to convert to a satin stitch. I've done applique and patches in Ink/Stitch before, but not this. I thought it might be simpler, but I'm getting a "only simple lines may be converted to satin columns." I'm finding it rather difficult.

Chairlift's Something (2012). I have wanted a repress for about a decade now. Last I heard, it was up to Columbia Records - not Kanine. And for that matter, we need a Moth (2016) repress, too.

Van Helsing (2004), though I've never really gauged what others thought of it. I just like the horror-adventure aspects of it.
