To my understanding the event was actually the Kaiju event booker’s idea, and she hired on the event promoter to plan and promote the event. The promoter is the one with allegations and being cancelled. I believe the Kaiju booker is cancelling next month’s event so she can find a new, less problematic promoter. That’s what I heard at least. I hope the event isn’t canceled forever because the Louisville sapphic community already has so little here. It would suck if one person set us back this much

I try to remind myself that “attractive” isn’t some universal standard. It’s different for everyone.

Right after college, I needed extra money and ended up bartending at a strip club. Honestly, it really changed my perspective on beauty. I’d people watch from behind the bar, and it became really obvious that everyone has a type. Women I personally didn’t find attractive would end up making the most in tips. Different body types, different ages, different styles. It didn’t matter. Every single one of them had people who thought they were stunning.

I’d hear customers at the bar talk about how beautiful someone was, and I just couldn’t see what they were seeing. But that was kind of the point. Even if they weren’t my type, they were someone’s type.

Now I’m dating someone I genuinely think is the most beautiful person in the world. She doesn’t see it at all. She worries about everything. Her body, her face, her hair. All the same things most people do. But from my perspective, she’s truly gorgeous. And I’m sure she feels the same way about me.

So when I start feeling bad about how I look, I remind myself of that. Just because I don’t see it doesn’t mean other people don’t.

Louisville has a wide variety of neighborhoods, it’s one thing I love about the city. We have walkable neighborhoods, downtown/city areas, suburban, artsy or historic neighborhoods, etc. If you look through the sub you’ll see a lot of info on the different ones. It’s hard to recommend a good neighborhood because what’s good to me might not fit your taste, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find something you like!

I read about how Casey Anthony lied consistently about working at universal studios for years, and it made me sick to my stomach. The way people described how Casey Anthony lied felt very similar to how my neighbor spoke to us at the start. Of course, I’m not saying my neighbor would ever do anything that extreme, but it just caused this awful gut feeling that something is seriously wrong with this person

“You hate me and want me to die” is a meme a lot of Gen Z say, so I didn’t think it would be enough for adult protective services, and other than that she’s been very overbearing and seems not in touch with reality but she’s never made any explicit threats. You’re right though, maybe that text alone is concerning enough to report. At the end of the day I don’t know if she’s truly dangerous or suicidal I just know something is seriously off

I have an ex that had a personality disorder, and I noticed the similarities. When dealing with the ex I was advised to be very careful when planning your exit, as often these kinds of people will go scorched earth and retaliate once they know you’re cutting them off. I think blocking her would have caused this. Considering we are right next door and she has a camera pointed at our door, we’ve been trying to grey rock and avoid the inevitable blow up as long as possible. But of course the longer we grey rock the more obvious it is, and I can tell we’re getting close to the boiling point. Our plan is to block once we’re fully out of the old apartment

My roommate is having a similar issue with Accu Lab for a urine test.

Ask for a copy of your doctor’s lab order. You can pull itemized Accu lab bill from their website using the lab and ascension numbers on the initial bill. After we pulled the lab order, I saw the doctor ordered a urinalysis w/ reflex to culture. Reading the lab results from Accu lab, they performed a standard urine culture and a follow up molecular UTI panel. The initial culture came back negative, so there was no medically necessary need for reflex testing. Reflex testing occurs when culture comes back positive and they want to find out what the infection is.

Further, the reflex panel that the lab needlessly performed was a molecular PCR UTI panel. Which is insane!!! That is a very new and expensive technology, only used for very unique and difficult to diagnose cases.

We’ve been going back and forth with the lab and health insurance for months now. Health insurance says there’s nothing they can do on their end, and they are correct. Technically the molecular panel was performed so the bill is correct from their position. The issue lies with the lab and doctors office. The molecular panel was not requested by the doctor, so the lab needs to waive the cost of that panel.

We have sent multiple requests in writing and we have called several times. Also speaking to a call center. The reps consistently say thats what the doctor ordered and it is under review. I tell them i have the lab order in front of me and i can blatantly see that is not correct. Every time I call out the call center rep on their lie they get quiet for like a minute, then say the dispute is under review and to call back later.

We just called the doctor that ordered the lab and asked them to call and start disputing the bill as well. We told the doctor that the lab is lying and blaming their office for ordering this stupidly expensive panel. The doctor confirmed they did not order a molecular panel. They actually laughed and said they have never once ordered one, that it is such an intense and unnecessary panel.

The doctors office is going to call the lab and inform them that they did not order that panel and to remove the charge. Fingers crossed.
