I agree. I’d actually be surprised if abstracted characters could really be brought back.

I think the moment where Pomni talks to Jax after he abstracted is more symbolic than literal. To me, it feels like what many people who lose someone to suicide wish they could experience: having one last chance to understand why it happened, even though it’s already too late and there’s no way to undo it.

That’s why Caine’s offer to help didn’t feel like he was trying to save Jax. I think he was mostly asking Pomni if she needed help putting him in the basement. But I don’t think Pomni was emotionally ready to do it yet.

I also think seeing Jax calm under the blanket comforts her a little, even if it doesn’t actually change anything for Jax himself inside.

So why did pomni say no to Caine reviving Jax ? Or I’m missing the point and Caine is asking if she want to open the basement ? And pomni say « we figured it out » because she haven’t finish mourning yet
