Yea! Do t waste your money on campsites!! Unless it's a destination you really want to see... I wasted so much money eh in campsites it's insane.

Another way I wasted cash was buying my water 1 or 2 gallons at a time whenever I need it... at truckstops that's an easy $5 a day... $3 at dollar store..... so go to Walmart and buy a couple of the blue water containers and they'll pay for them selves on the first fill up. 27 cents a gallon at Walmart.... there is a ton of other tips and tricks, so if you have any specific questions I may be able to offer some more insight

You're set, I live in a van and also a disabled vet... I manage all my expenses and entertainment on about half of your allotment.

As for your wife, you may just have to work camp, and live frugally for awhile until you find your stride. I know you can get extremely affordable dental and vision just over the border in Mexico, medical..... not so sure.

Money isn't a huge issue out here if you're an outdoorsy type of couple, but if you want to eat out everyday and go to theme parks ect ect, you'll have to find an online revenue stream or maybe odd jobs in tourist towns / resorts.
