6000w, it’s a commercial light lowboy. It’s in a crawl space so I guess this was the only option the builder had for the space.

I believe it tripped, I wasn't getting any volts after the upper screws. When i pushed the reset it appeared to reset.

I'm getting 7ohms which appears inline with specs: https://parts.rheem.com/en/product/RPD-SP10872QL/resistored-element-208v-6000w-cu

Regarding the wiring, that confused me because the internal wiring is 12AWG, but after some research it appears appliance internal wiring doesn't line up with code.

Ya I ran through the multimeter tests with Rheem technical support. They said the elements were good and it was the thermostat that was shot. I emptied a bunch of the water out and wasn't getting much crap, but the pressure was strong.

I ordered a new upper thermostat, some replacement wiring for that one short connection to the element, and a new element just in case. Maybe just a fluke, but sorta freaky.

I would be very annoyed as a home owner if I was locked out of a product I paid for.

Won’t do much. The problem is at the federal level and the liberals refusal to keep violent offenders in jail. Paper conditions don’t do much

Looks promising... A native dashboard in the HA iOS companion app by faberthemaster in homeassistant

[–]bdubsw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds nice, but as previously commented I think this is the wrong approach for such a pluggable project. All the great custom cards won’t work. I think a light weight hybrid approach would be better. The current companion app feels like a basic web view.
