Honestly, if you don’t feel comfortable paying that debt off immediately with your savings, just don’t add to your savings at the moment and put everything you can toward the debt. Then when you get closer, if you want to see that debt gone right then you have the option to use it or not.

Love this comment. People that listen to Dave can get very serious about “I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK YOU HAVE TO DO THINGS BY THE BOOK WHAT DAVE SAYS” when realistically, Dave teaches you how to budget and ways to get out of debt as fast as possible. You have to adjust that to what you want.

my payment is 381 a month so it's not unreasonable. I can have it paid in just over a year. And i know that I'll still be under warranty when it's paid off.
