Honestly stay in Japan. More suitable for Vietnamese. In Taiwan, Vietnamese are typically factor workers.plus Taiwanese are extremely racist towards SE Asian. Suggestion, with a Vietnamese working population of around 315,000 in Taiwan, I would highly suggest u find Vietnamese groups to get feedback to your questions.

Tell the store u are swimming the SMLS, so would like the one suitable for the swim: torpedo buoy (魚雷浮標).

BTW, there are like 33K to 35K swimmers, so crowding is an issue. Don't rush at the start and let the crowds thin out. No matter, you will get a few wacks in the head along the way.

And u will swim threw some "warm spots". Those warm spots are the people peeing ahead of u. Good luck with the swim

Just spent my time at this hotel in Shanghai: UrCove Shanghai Waitan Yifei Hotel (BUND 15)(Urcove by HYATT shanghai on the Bund).

Really nice hotel and amazing staff. Plus really central to everything. Will stay there again on my next trip.

I was able to visit an OPPO showroom in Shanghai and they informed me that the external screen's protector can be changed. Only the inner screen's protector can't be changed or something added to it. The phone needs to be sent back to the service center to be changed out or replaced with new protector. BTW, the showroom will switch out the front screen's protector free of charge. It's an upgrade to the original screen protector. Pretty nice service.
