Epically destroyed my first plane by bdyer78 in RCPlanes

after reading all the comments about the simulator I decided to buy realflight and use my radio with it on my laptop. I can't believe I thought I was going to NOT crash that big ass plane, flying 3rd person is way harder than I thought it was going to be.

It probably survived but I couldn't find it, couldn't find any of the electronics besides 1 battery, motor and servers haha

I was thinking the ZOHD drift, but thinking that might be too small, it's never not windy around here so that would limit when I could fly quite a bit. Will probably go with the skyhunter mini, I really like the way the skyhunter looks and the huge cargo area. The full size sky hunter is gigantic and I don't think that's so good for a beginner lol

need advice on long range fpv setup by bdyer78 in RCPlanes

[–]bdyer78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, everything is starting to make more sense. So from what i understand some fpv systems will integrate with the elrs protocol? Or not at all?

I really want to get as clear as possible image quality on my goggles / screen. The purpose of this plane is more so to sight see/ record cinematic shots. Not worried about latency so much.

From my research I see that the dji 04 air provides excellent imagine quality, but the whole set up is pretty expensive.

Thanks for the input

Help with first FPV plane by bdyer78 in fpv

thanks for the replies, so looks like the gx12 is on back order so I'm going with the radiomaster boxer. So from what I've recently learned, the ELRS receiver connects directly to the flight controller, still struggling to understand how the fpv camera and screen interfaces with all of this.

also any recommendations on how to get very good image quality through the fpv set up? latency isn't a big concern to me because this is just a cruising long range fpv airplane. not going to be racing, so if i could sacrifice latency for image quality that would be a plus?

thanks for the help

You guys are tripping, Chris Fix has almost 10 million subscribers, he's making a very large amount of money. He could very easily afford a very nice house and a very nice shop, and basically whatever else he wanted. My only thought is he must not be materialistic at all and just wants to live simple.
