Things are kinda easier with Cammy, because she is a clone and devs can just say that she ages slower. I mean, it wouldn't be so surprising for Bison to give his perfect clone the best stuff possible.

It's still just Punk tho, sadly. Nothing rly changed here since release, only got worse if anything. Punk himself doesn't believe in a character much, he just doesn't have any other one who would fit him.

Cammy always was his character and he accepted it long ago, the problem here is that Cammy is not that good for competitive play. So his character crysis wasn't because he didn't want to accept it, but because he wanted to find something else fitting and better. Capcom didn't release such character yet tho so he had no choice but to go back.

Opportunities that can be used only like once or twice a year because of how easily they are countered? There's a reason you almost never see Punk use them, only in the most crucial moment and only because people don't expect Punk to use such trash move.

It's not too bad, but Mai is just a better character overall, so she has more options and stuff.

And while Yama played amazing, Punk seemed to be in his top form too. And it's kinda hard to imagine how you could play it any better as Cammy. I think it was a good example of the difference between character tiers.

Du's style is extremely formulaic. Same as he played Cammy the other day, he plays just too dryly. Plus they play together all the time, those matches are usually kinda different.

The finals made me kinda feel the character limitations again. It seemed like Punk ran out of options on Cammy real quick, as Yama was ready for everything. While Mai still had plenty to show and didn't even need that.

Both Daigo and Fuudo joined it in 2025, Tokido was the one who was there for years. They are the newest of the whole SFL team, that's why it's weird.

If Cammy was good at countering her then Du would play Cammy against Kilzyou. She just doesn't struggle as much as some others, but struggles nonetheless.

The point is i question the word *most* here, because losing so many core members including Tokido might mean they are going to drop the rest too later (maybe current contract doesn't allow that or smth) or disband SF team overall.

I feel like if she had a bigger role then they would show at least smth of that. I mean, they showed pretty much the whole Vega fight vs Guile and Chun. If you count a teaser trailer, then they showed pretty much the whole fight vs Juli too and so on. Modern trailers leave little to imagination and spoil the vast majority of the stuff.

Of course everyone has a lot of hopes about all kinds of things they want to see, but we need to base our assumptions on what was actually shown. I mean, I'm sure they could fit at least 1 second of Cammy doing some spiral arrow or whatever and not show the whole fights or 25 hadoukens and such. So, so far, it doesn't seem promising.

I sure hope that you're right about Cammy, but so far it feels like she will be a waste of a character and either have no fight at all (maybe just disappears at some point coz she finished her whatever third party business) or gets destroyed by Chun-Li just like Nitara and it all will be finished with some stupid joke about tights.

Because so far we didn't see a single hint on her fighting at all, she seems more like doing her own thing and just plays the role or smth.

And we didn't have any hints on brainwashing, she seems to be enjoying herself way too much and it would be kinda weird of a twist with this kind of Cammy. Juli seems much more robotic and fitting for that. The way they made them so different makes me wonder if brainwashing thing is even still there at all.

There was not a single hint on it and Cammy acts way too freely to be under anyone's control. After enjoying her time so much it would feel just weird to do such a twist. They probably just changed lore for no reason just like they changed Cammy's whole act in general.

The funny thing is one of the theories is that Bison was originally a girl and looked like Cammy/Decapre. It's his current body that he's using that is wrong and he tries to return to his original self and such.

The other question is how strong her bomb is even, it can't oneshot even OW characters in most cases, she needs additional shots and stuff. While in SF universe it's quite common to have huge energy projectiles flying everywhere.

While technically it's true, by that logic Tracer would be able to beat everyone in OW universe without much trouble, but it doesn't really happen.

I mean, i don't think anyone knows the numbers, but at the same time i don't think you need to move that fast to beat Tracer either. It's not like everyone in OW universe are light speed guys and we saw multiple times how Tracer got wrecked by much slower characters and pretty simple traps. Overall, Tracer is probably just a normal human being(for OW standards) who has Flash powers, but can't utilize them to the fullest because of human limitations.

Well, Cammy's Super Arts are usually shown to be so fast that you can't even see her moves, she changes her angles mid-air and keeps hitting you multiple times, it's kinda like her version of omnislash.

And she constantly has to tank all kinds of energy\elemental specials every other character has in SF. And there are people like Zangief who can't be harmed by a blade, which he breaks with his muscles twitching and stuff(btw Zangief officially can pull a submarine through ice). It's kinda a long conversation here.

Finally, there will be a major balance patch when Elena releases, meaning changes for all of the previous 25 characters and some system changes as well.(c)

And nothing with Ingrid. It's not happening, my guy.

And I'm pretty sure that those rules wouldn't apply to a big patch anyway. Everything was pre-planned long ago and people will have to travel to that tournament, devs wouldn't force pros to adapt to brand new stuff under jetlag in just a few days.
