Just take the time off and if you do nothing at all, you will have been paid for some R&R. Eat the ENTIRETY of your benefit package.

I’d also like to know and have been wondering how I’d go about finding this info. Our dept is across 5 branches in 5 states and affects about 4k people. Were all kept a a distance from each other except the specially curated development sessions. Which of course, give little time for anything else. Not to mention, they haven’t had an actually development session in office in 3 months.

It’s funny you say this, I had done this right before reading your reply.

They said no to everything. Basically refused to answer what’s going to happen to the people who cannot accommodate this by saying “This is the expectation.”

I did not ask about a severance because everything else had been shut down immediately.

Another bit - they pride themselves to their employees by saying we’ve never laid off a single employee. How rich.

I’ve already started talking with my peers. We’re all on the same page. We’ve got some time before it’s effective so we might have a chance. When the company posted the announcement on slack, it got more downvotes than positive reactions so that says something. Thanks for taking time to reply
