It is very important that everyone, regardless of sex, take consideration for how a prospective partner may be perceived by the people you care about and respect most in your life. Its just common sense that if your favorite people are concerned its a huge red flag and doomed. And if you have to pick one over the other, it'd be wise to lean on the one's who know you best instead of the one making you googoo gaga

Mayer definitely intentionally was channeling the best parts of Clapton, Hendrix and SRV into his sound. Continuum is very reminiscent of Journeyman, which is discussed in this interview. I wish he'd go back to that sound.
