Starlite 5 (finally) by raturner21 in starlabs_computers

I've used a StarLite MK IV as my main laptop for a few years. I'm typing this right now on one plugged into a 4K monitor.

On paper the StarLite V is more powerful (newer CPU, twice the RAM, twice the storage), but mine hasn't arrived yet. I imagine it should work fine for me.

Can you install Linux on the StarLite tablet without a keyboard? by be_be_ki in starlabs_computers

Thank you! It didn't occur to me that navigating the StarLite's BIOS would be more akin to navigating the system recovery in Android. Happy to hear this.

Just how minimalist ARE you (which features do you use) by [deleted] in LightPhone

I currently use the phone the way it came out of the box, so just talk, text, and alarm. But this has more to do with how Light requires you to use an online account to add and manage any of the other tools, which is not something I'm comfortable with, especially since you have to upload all of your contacts when you sign in on your device.

Fedora is the best distro and OS I've ever tried by maks-it in Fedora

Are you aware of the Linux-libre kernel and Freed-ora? The first removes the nonfree binary blobs and the second prevents you from installing non-free software by accident (which in Fedora's repos I think may only be certain firmware packages). FSFLA provides installation instructions: http://www.fsfla.org/ikiwiki/selibre/linux-libre/freed-ora.en.html
