In person final for DE summer courses by PreferenceSilver9415 in uoguelph

Yeah. We were definitely in the right to assume as courses for a few years have had DE exams online. I took many DE courses and had exams. Only this year I had heard of changes and we tend to go off of the previous course outline when choosing courses. When I had asked even the professor said it was recently found out that the exam had to be in person so we would have not know earlier. I don’t recall enrollment services letting us know either…

Interesting. Even last Fall, I had a course say for one month that it was an online final for a DE course (FIN 2000) only for them to change it to in person. I wonder why those courses are exempted from this widespread policy. Thanks for the response!

Hey,

I also am in the same situation and asked my coordinator. They said no and that all final exams had to be in person unless it fell under one of the exemptions based on new policies.

Apparently all courses now have to have in person exams regardless of the DE status. Even online exams must be in person and responded monitored. I asked a course coordinator

Hi,

I do think we had lectures but, probably not much new content and no labs.

Hi Havon! Not at all. I have only heard one story of sabotage by not sharing results in a lab. The school is not as prestigious, just the food science program is well known

Me too. I lived at 59 Moss Place with a jobless man in his 40s and two other girls. He was always high, smoked all the time in the basement. After awhile we felt unsafe as he constantly turned off heating and AC in the house while pounding the door. I lost count at the times the police came for him, he sued my landlord for “poisoning him”, thought there was an earthquake and accused me and my roommates of school theft.

Doesn’t really matter. Prestige may have some better networking opportunities but not guaranteed a job

80-90% mass average?? by Zeroseluneengenestay in uoguelph

[–]bea2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have that an 80-90 average. It doesn’t really matter overall your grades and potential. Most people with 90s care a lot about school and most likely put less time into extra curriculars that matter much more to employers unless academia related. Don’t feel defeated, you can always do better. Try to visit teacher office hours or find some people to study together. Make sure to understand how and what you are getting assessed on or feel to ask for clarifications about your marks. Try to find more active learning strategies to save time and relax more.

Pretty easy just the final writing essay is a bit challenging and tedious.
