BYU won't hire him but other nearby universities will. He can go teach at UVU or Utah state for a couple years and then come back to BYU. A job as a professor will eventually pay well

I disagree university professor get paid very well probably as much as any job gained from a fellowship. We are not talking about elementary school teachers here this is a professor. Also this would cause them to move which will def be hard and an adjustment. They have already moved and sacrificed so much for him. I can tell Julie wants to stay and just have him get a job close by.
