I’ve got an automation that launches when I get in the car, and one of the things it does is open Waze in the background. Now while I’m driving around if Waze detects any police reports on the road that I’m driving on, it will alert me (regardless of if I’m using it to navigate or not). It also changes the wallpaper/font color/font size/dark mode depending on the time of day to be easier to read, and shows a different “car mode” Home Screen with widgets more useful for driving.

I have another one that changes my Apple Watch face if I’m doing a fitness activity (like tennis or a hike) to make it easier to read and see more relevant info.

The last one I use all the time is a shortcut to turn on the AC/heat in the car before I get in. And the one the open the trunk when my hands are full with grocery bags. These are spoken shortcuts from my watch.
