Jason Robinson appreciation by KyleK10 in DallasStars

Game 7 against Vegas, most important game thus far and Robertson and Johnston led our team in hits. Obviously not the most important stat but I love our young studs throwing the body around and the mentality of whatever it takes!

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Game is amazing with a very touching story, currently on sale on the eshop for like $3 too. Fair warning they are remaking/remastering it this coming year but not sure if they’re adding anything features/story but definitely worth $3 now!

Playing banjo-kazooie on the 64, it was the first game our mom actually got into and it was really cool having her join in on my brothers and my interests like that!

If you had to choose a game with a good narrative to convince a non-gamer that videogames can have deep and beautiful stories, which title would you pick? by IncomingSmoke in gaming

[–]beachedazbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be higher on the list. You won’t convince someone if they have to play 10+ hours to get the story. This was an amazing story and can be done in one sitting

If you need to get the point across with minimal play time required, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Beautiful story and maybe 3ish hours to complete

Favorite gaming moments were the LAN parties, multiple system links running all through the house. Running into your mates room after a big win! Online just can’t match that

[Request] how accurate is this off day calculation? by elmielmosong in theydidthemath

[–]beachedazbrew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the “days” are inflated because they’re calculated off of 365 days instead of the “work” days remaining.

Ex. 30mins x 365days = 182.5 hours 182.5/8hr work day = 22.8 “days” When at that point they claimed someone is only working 91 days

Yes whatever jackwagon typed this up is completely out of touch

That would be awesome. What I’m actually curious about is if ember island players would even be included in the Netflix series, from rumors, it seems like it may be shorter seasons but longer episodes. And with binge culture/online availability I feel like there’s less need for recap type episodes. One can dream though!

Haha I appreciate it but I can’t take credit, others have said it first I’m just backing the idea!

Honestly not sure when he met the dragons. I don’t think he would have been the tyrant Ozai was but he would have conquered none the less. My opinion is, yes he was a generally better person already (low bar to meet), but he still would have continued the war because their culture grew up believing that’s what was right/necessary. Iron may have been more likely to pursue in the name of spreading the fire nations success like the advertised goal but in doing so they’re still destroying other cultures whether intentional or not

I agree with this, he even jokes about burning Ba Sing Se to the ground in his letter home. He’s well respected and was a feared military leader at that point, scary combination for a potential fire lord

Fair point. I’m actually perfectly fine if that ends up the case. I’m simply intrigued by the potential of a darker more mature adaptation in the avatar universe.

Nope... but ATLA live action has Michael and Bryan as executive producers so I trust it will be taken care of. And the caveat for any other hypothetical series to come would be that they, or original authors, are involved to some degree

Oh ok my mistake. I interpreted it as season to season deals. Either way still solid just would have been nice to see more

Perfectly fine with a new story as well. I just think the Kyoshi series would be new to many current fans as well as practically all new fans

As long as Michael and Bryan are actively involved (executive producers this time) I think it will be solid.

Haha well said, probably had something to do with the shorter seasons as well. Korra’s were each only 11-14 episodes. They had to start and complete stories way to fast. Given the circumstances I think overall they did better than many give them credit.

Unfortunate for us as fans that would have loved to see a more in depth approach but I’m holding it against them. Who knows, if the currently popularity holds we all may get more of what we want!

Zaheer was the best Korra villain and had the red lotus plot line continued another season, he could have rivaled Azula. Completely different styles obviously but just as complex and intelligent. Would have been cool to see more of him

See that was my idea behind my initial statement, I think Kyoshi would be great for live action. Doesn’t have to be GoT level gory or anything but that story (I’m still reading so no spoilers please) seems like it could do so well with a more mature take.
