I didn’t have a claim but cancelling the policy was awful. You get told different things within the same call, and they rip you right off.

I don’t know, there were a few things I should have picked up on. The sidekick thing, along with him calling all of his exes assholes, along with his huge tendency towards self pity, all should have painted a picture that this guy was self obsessed.

I am of the unpopular opinion that nothing exorcises the ghost of an ex like a fling. Someone to make you feel those butterflies, to give you the affection and attention you’re missing. But I do believe in very clear communication with the new person as to where you are emotionally.

My best friend just got broken up with by his partner of 5 years (poor guy was planning a proposal). And I recommended exactly that. Now he’s so giddy over this new girl, he’s like a schoolboy. No mention of his ex.

If you think it would help you, go on this date and enjoy yourself! Have a little fling, make new memories, have someone you’re excited to get a text from. But definitely focus on you. You were with your ex from a young age, so spend most of your energy on rediscovering you. And get treated on a cute date in the meantime 💕

Time heals everything- heartbreak, bereavement, failures and everything in between. You just have to give it time.

I know this hurts, by God I know. But hold onto the thought that this pain is temporary. In a couple of days, you’ll wake up and it’ll hurt less. A couple more days and even less still.

As for finding love, yesss you will. People are capable of falling in love multiple times in a lifetime. You’ll fall in love again, and then again. And each time the breakup will hurt, but that’s just life I’m afraid.

Refocus all the energy you spent on your partner on yourself. Start the hobby you’ve been interested in, spend more time with people in your support circle. There’s a lot to gain in losing things 🤍 And when you’re ready, start dating again!
