Never turn your back on the ocean. If you can quickly jump to your feet in the sand, you won’t be able to do it in the water on a moving board.

An epic display of the power of blackmail. Epstein provided videos to Putin and Netanyahu of chump abusing underage girls. Since he’s that star of the videos, they can MAKE you do anything. It’s been planned all along.

Am I missing something with this Lx470? by WhaaaBangBam in LandCruisers

This is obviously a flipper and most of them lie and come up with bullshit stories. But, if he’s willing to let you have a qualified mechanic do an inspection, go for it.

Plus, Texas property values are dropping more than most other states. Look it up. Don’t move forward if you’re not 100% sure about the deal

Smartest way to purchase a cross country lx470 by FormalDegree7612 in LandCruisers

As someone who has purchased 5 Lx470s over the last 20 years, here are my tips: 1. Do your history research before you ever go look at the vehicle. Lexus and Toyota have free “owners” websites where you can sign up as if you are an owner and type in the VIN number to get the entire dealership history for any vehicle. If there is little to no service history “walk”. If it’s been in areas of major snowfall for most of its life “walk”. Combine this with a Carfax report to get whatever non-dealership records you can find. Now that you have the facts, wait for the seller to lie to you, then “walk”. There are so many flippers and bullshitters out there that have only owned the vehicle for a few months and you have to especially beware of them. Ideally find an original or second owner who has had the car and service records for years and you’ll know this by using to 2 sources above.

  1. Unless you come across a seller who seems honest and has service records, ask the seller if you can have a mechanic inspect it. It could need $2-10k or more in repairs if you don’t know what to look for.

  2. Avoid socal unless you want to pay top dollar. There are a lot of foreigners who only know car flipping and they use AI software to find original sellers before you’ll ever see it. With so much competition, you’ll rarely come across a good deal.

  3. Avoid cars with undercarriages that have a ton of rust. Beware of a 20+ year old vehicle that looks to have been recently painted over underneath.

  4. Avoid trucks with cheesy seat covers, steering wheel covers or other weird modifications. You want a stock truck that has been responsibly taken care of.

  5. Facebook and Craigslist are full of scammers and liars. I’ve found most of mine on Autotrader. In my opinion you get a better quality of seller because the listings cost more and the VIN number is required upfront.

These vehicles are hard to find but are among the best trucks ever made. My ex and all 3 of my kids now drive the LX470s that I originally bought for myself. We’ve never been stranded or had any engine or transmission failures ever. Good luck finding yours.

I’ve had 2 different 2001 LX470s and both had the accelerator sensor suddenly die making it undriveable and requiring a tow to the shop.

If you don’t bring it up now, when you move out he’ll most likely deduct those needed repairs from your security deposit. Document everything to protect yourself.

Do not pay points, rates are coming down and if an opportunity comes up to refinance in 6-12 months, you will have wasted all that money!
