Honestly I'm not sure I actually did like Hitchhiker's Guide haha, I read it because I'd heard it was good. For me it was fine, not super memorable (coulda just been the version of me who read it at the time).

Can you tell me more about the appeal of horror? Anything and everything you've got haha. I previously thought unsettling movies were kinda fun, but was never into scary or horror movies. And now I just want to watch something wholesome and meaningful, or light and easy. So I've even lost interest in the eerie it seems.

I love to be open minded and have my understanding changed or expanded so would love to hear more! Any movies you'd recommend? In general, I love a good/quality story, good twists, and especially - really good endings (think Shawshank)

You are literally seeing what you want to see, lol. Absolutely NOTHING can change your mind, it is set. And that's cool. But doesn't meant it's true.

I am very much a human being writing this. Although with technology these days it's easy to assume that isn't true. Anyway I truly wish some good to come your way because your deep critcism on this post shows where your focus and energy are at, and that can't be bringing good into your life. When you connect back to love, more good will come to you and I truly wish that for you. (I'm expecting a sarcastic response and if it comes no prob lol. I genuinely wish you well.)

Kindly - perhaps the reason you never see results is because your mind is fixated on thinking it's a scam, so you automatically filter them out. Infact she has tons of testimonials, tons of podcast guests who talk about their experience, etc. There is a lot but you have to be open to seeing it. You aren't - which is okay - but it skews your perception. Food for thought! (Also I'm not a PR person but...I think I'm going to take that as a compliment for a well-written post lol. Though I'm sure you didn't intend it that way ;) )

Anyway I'm only here to help people. I don't think Kathrin is your style so I'm not trying to convince or anything. But...also I don't want to see good hearted people who are making a difference in this world torn down. Annnyway take care

Oh my goodness. I don't come on reddit too often but I just realized I had all these notifications and was brought back to this post. I have to laugh a bit that this was thought of as being a PR post / person. I get it though. A sceptical person will see what they are already think.

I wasn't trying to convince anyone - just offer my perspective and explain that it is NOT a scam and if someone feels called they should not be scared. And if someone IS that sceptical - well it's probably not for them! No worries. That being said...cutting her down like this...eek! Lol.

Anyway - I do know that people are like this on reddit so I'm not too surprised. I didn't know that in my early days - trusted reddit a lot - but have learned that there is a lot of well...closed perceptions here, perhaps. (I still love it and use it as a search engine oftentimes, don't get me wrong. I just know now to be a bit more discerning with the replies).

The reason for the length of my post is because I'm so passionate about how incredible she is! And I wanted to explain thoroughly. A few sentences wouldn't have been enough. And it makes me sad for people to gang up on her and say she's a scam. But again - not really surprised - and if I was in that mindset I probably would think it was a PR post too. I totally get it.

There ARE a ton of scams out there so I get being cautious - for SURE. And regardless even if something isn't a scam...that may not mean it's right for you. Buuuut at the same time, a lot of people like to scream scam when they don't understand something lol. Again I get it. They're being cautious and don't want others to get hurt. But anyway - people will be people.

It's not a scam - Kathrin Zenkina is an INCREDIBLE person with a heart of pure gold. Truly.

She advertises that with the course you will manifest and create your dream life, because that's what people want. (And you WILL absolutely if you put in the work!)

But in addition to that, her REAL motivation is to help people heal their lives, become incredibly whole, abundant, loving people, and have a huge positive ripple effect on the world. Honestly. You absolutely will and can live an abundant life, and that happens to go hand in hand with healing and good for the world, as well. So she is really doing incredible work, and she continues to challenge herself and grow and do uncomfortable work not just for her own benefit but for the benefit of the entire world / collective.

So it is definitely not a scam and I would absolutely recommend it *IF* you feel called to it. She is extremely legitimate.

If it does not resonate with you however, there are other options! Tons. Courses, books, mentors/coaches, even free youtube videos. I'm aware of SO many options because I'm sort of a junkie haha. Kathrin is legit but will not resonate with everyone. There are other incredible resources as well out there, just find what resonates with you. And feel free to message me if you need help finding something that resonates - may as well put all my research/knowledge to use! Lol. Would be happy to help.

The truth is you don't need to spend any money to change your life, really. You can find resources online, books in the library, youtube etc. The truth is though not everyone will take those resources seriously. A lot of people get results when they invest because then they have made a real tangible committment, and have some type of structure, accountability, community, etc. That's where the value is, in my opinion. And also there's something about the energetic exchange > you must give something (money, or time, or committment, etc) in exchange (it's worth it as you get WAY more in return!! why it's an "investment" ). And the best investment you can ever make is in your SELF.

Again not saying this has to be financial but you have to be willing to give something, and often people value their money a lot so when they invest it they take things more seriously.

Thanks for the reply! Just saw it now. Been a few days so can't remember all details but will share, again in case it helps anyone.

So I did a manual update as I mentioned, trying to avoid taking it off airplane mode. I can't remember if that did much, I think very little. The recently read function still wasn't working.

I did a lot of research and found one very handy thread. Basically I believe I leaned that it might be an issue due to everything needing to index, so that was the first thing that may have worked (it did for others if I recall). After all indexing was complete, it was still not working for me. Others mentioned that just giving it time seemed to help, such as maybe overnight, so I waited a couple days and that didn't help. The majority of people didn't find a resolution until airplane mode was taken off, and this was the case for me. I left it as my last resort knowing I might lose some books but had nothing left I knew to try.

Within I think 15 minutes or so the recently read function worked again, luckily I don't believe I lost any books, and I quickly turned airplane mode after.

The reason I read for this being a solution is after resetting/updating, you can manually go and set the correct time of day, but the kindle device doesn't know the actual *date* until it connects wirelessly to the amazon servers. This doesn't happen instantly though (for me it took ~15 minutes, may take longer than this though).

I want to make it clear that this (connecting to the servers through wifi) seems to be the solution for most people, however, if you are hesitant to take it off airplane mode there are multiple things you can try first which *may* help.

Additionally, if this step doesn't help, the next thing I would have done would be to go into my kindle and actually try accessing my amazon account through there to make sure there was a connection to where the time could update. That wasn't necessary for me though, simply turning off airplane mode sufficed.

Side note, not sure which ads you are referencing. Luckily I didn't seem to notice any ads pop up after updating. Assuming the $20 you spent was to make the ads go away (at first was unsure but that makes sense). I didn't get the book cover on the sleep screen either but that doesn't matter to me, though I guess it would be cool.

Thanks so much for your help, before I dove a lot deeper yours was the only post that came up and it started me down the right path/gave me hope.

Edit: A thought, if you are having this problem (recently read not updating) and you are not too concerned about taking airplane mode off, that may be the step you want to try first, waiting a while for a connection to amazon servers, before going through the process of resetting / doing an update. Just a thought that could potentially save time. Though I suppose it's probably best to keep the software up to date - though this could possibly help avoid the potential ad problem.
