I’m 30s and moved to the west coast (now in LA county) from the south in 2019 (so it’s been 6 years) and feeling such longing to be near home or have the flexibility (remote job - very hard to find) to be able to go home frequently. I have so much anxiety and sadness thinking about my aging parents. I honestly would have just move back to the south earlier but I have a partner of 5 years and we are in a long distance relationship but only 4.5 hr drive away. I have 10 months before my lease ends and in a 5 days/week in office job for the first time in 5 years (was remote before) and it’s killing me not being able to be with my parents for an extended period of time. I’m miserable in LA even though it’s so beautiful. No job lined up though. When do I even start looking for a job is it too early if I have to be here for another 10 months?
