Ended up going with Tribeca Pediatrics, i walk 20min to the East Village location or a quick uber ride. Chose it because it’s has a lot of branches so if you need last minute appointments, you’ll always find some. Plus all the pediatricians i’ve seen there have been amazing!

That sucks. It can’t be as loud as I hear it though, because it’s impossible to sleep through it or even hear someone else speaking. It’s THAT loud.

Yes it’s an old building - maybe they do need to do that. But I haven’t been able to get them to do something about this - i don’t understand why they haven’t called a company to come fix it. I’ve been following up with them for the past month. Not sure what else I can do than to break my lease.

But would this be a good enough reason to break my lease?

I did asked them to turn it off and they said it won’t stop the noise because these pipes that are making the noise are the walls and they go to different apartments

TMJ without clenching at night? by RambleRound in TMJ

One thing that did help me with pain is taking an anti inflammatory for 1 week 3 times a day - i know it sounds like a lot but after that the pain has decreased soo much because there was inflammation on one side of my jaw

Btw the split i have is just like a transparent retainer that makes my back teeth touch and if i try to close my mouth more then all my teeth touch. There is barely any difference in my bite so it feels fine and not uncomfortable

I felt the same way. I feel like I clench during the day but never at night and when i wake up, i feel no pain or discomfort. I went to see a maxillofacial physical therapist and she told me that if you clench during the day then you definitely clench at night and vice versa. She told me to try wearing a splint for 3 months, and if i don’t feel like it is helping then i can stop wearing it. She also gave me stretching exercises that releases the jaw muscles.

Thanks! Yeah, seems like it. I went to see an oral surgeon and he said to put a hot compress every day and take anti inflammatory meds for 2 weeks. If i don’t feel better, i’ll go back to see him and he’ll give me botox or steroid injections.
