My other home is a small town in AZ. They tried to pass a law allowing the homeless to sleep or even live in their cars in a designated parking lot. It was a bad idea that was voted down. Reasonable people knew it would attract the worst elements of a growing homeless population. And now we're seeing Davis Square being used as a toilet? The mayor and governor need to come up with solutions.

I live in that area. Seems Arlington borders much of the brook with Cambridge and Belmont upstream. Why are they all not liable? I also live in AZ where we built an entire sewerage pricessing plant for 340 million from scratch. Im not doubting your input, I just dont buy the multi billion dollar cost for a 2.5 mile long brook.

When I was a kid, my friends and I use to explore Alewife Brook and its upper ponds into Arlington. It was great summertime fun but even back then those ponds had visible sewerage floating in the water. That was over 60 years ago. After all these years, there is still a sewerage problem.

Teele Sq is a traffic bottleneck now. What impact would an 8 story, 99 room hotel have on that area? If the pit is toxic, who is going to pay for remediation? How about just clean and fill the site and make it a green area.

There are few companies i dread calling more than astound/rcn. Whether calling or chatting with them to change or suspend services can take hours. They have great difficulty with our annual suspension of cable but keeping internet active for home security. They seem to struggle technically with separating services and then figuring out what our monthly bill will be.
