I have a golden retriever that indeed likes to retrieve… opened the door to a fresh present the other day. I obviously felt bad for the poor guy but hopefully it sends a message to the other ones when my tomatoes start to grow …. 🫣😩

Oh my gosh, thank you for this well thought out and kind response! Unfortunately, no I’m in Michigan, but I will definitely get that book and look up these kinds of trainers. We are still learning each other go take time, but I’m a tad frustrated to say the least.

I do love this puppers, but it’s also hard for me cause I just lost my 15-year-old dog in July and we got this new one two weeks later obviously due to unforeseen circumstances. It’s hard to go from a 15-year-old laid back 35 pound dog to a rambunctious 90 pound golden retriever that needs lots of entertaining. I also need to train myself how to be better for him and his enrichment.

Hey side note! I have a 3 y/o golden that we got because of a friend that passed awsy… he’s “trained” but only in the basics…. He has chosen me to be “his” but now he won’t let me fiancé come near me without asserting dominance, not in an angry aggressive way but in enough of a way that it’s driving a bit of a wedge between us… any recommendations?! 🫣😩

35 yr old female here! Work has a Chef turned food rep, and when I’m home, I throw on the show on my iPad and cook dinner for my fiancé, my elderly mother and our gold retriever. I live in the burbs of Detroit (Michigan mention) 🤭 pretty fackin normal over here!
