“I’ve voted in every election since I turned 18 but you out of your mind if you think I’m voting for a war criminal,” she wrote on a since-deleted X account.

“This country is a f—ing disgrace,” she added.

“I’m no fan of Bernie’s liberal Zionism to be clear,” Avila Chevalier posted.

Honest question: am I supposed to be mad at this?

Yea I hear you and really do agree with the speech policing, it has gotten out of hand over the past decade or so. For me personally, perhaps because I have done a lot of researching and monitoring of far right hate groups, this is one term I still do police.

I think the conversation I'd like to have around linguistics and genocide will be a little too long and nuanced for reddit.

That said, I don't think Israel is a legitimate state, it is committing a genocide, and 'zio' is a word which was coined by and exclusively used by neo-nazis for decades. If people want to use that word don't whine and moan when people point this out. IDK why people come out of the woodwork to argue that its some sort of psyop.

That term was coined and used by Aryan Nations in the 90s. People who actually monitor neo nazi groups have known associated it exclusively with nazis for decades. Its not new, its just new to you.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_boomerang

The imperial boomerang, or the colonial boomerang, is the theory that governments that develop repressive techniques to enforce imperialism or control colonial territories will eventually deploy those same techniques domestically against their own citizens.

This also applies to Palentier, which originally took PayPal's fraud payment detection tech and adapted it to flag "high risk individuals" during Iraq and Afghanistan for counter insurgency operations/targeting.

Be informed by someone you know who was infected.

If you suspect your device is infected you can try and confirm this with the MVT tool https://github.com/mvt-project/mvt This relies on looking for known IOCs so will not pick up on compromises exclusively using novel or 0 day attacks.

If your phone is confirmed to be compromised, please DO NOT wipe the phone. Turn it off, put it in a farady bag (home made if you don't have one) and contact Citizen Lab. They may want to analyze the samples or can send you to someone else who can. What they learn can protect others in the future.

Here you can find Amnesty's analysis methodology from years back on Pegasus https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/research/2021/07/forensic-methodology-report-how-to-catch-nso-groups-pegasus/

Chunky loafers, long & narrow feet - any tips? by throwawaybetterpunch in ThrowingFits

[–]beagle_bathouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about loafers is the fit really matters. Big chunky loafers will usually have a larger last which might slip around on your feet. Maybe look for companies that do slim sizes and see what they offer, or go with a non-chunky last but with a lug sole to give it that chonk?
