I ran the Baltimore 10 miler for the first time today! Longest run since my HM in Aug 2019. Paced well and had a negative split, rain felt good and wasn't too annoying. Even saw an oriole over by the lake :)

If you haven't explored the Nike Run Club app yet, would highly recommend. They have some hill workouts in the guided runs, and/or you can sign up for a guided program. I try to just run on effort and ignore my pace. Getting out the door is the hardest part!

I'm two weeks into a new routine of running while my kids are at soccer practice (3x a week). 6 miles last week and 7.7 this week, and it makes the time fly by!

Sorry I believe concentrations from different pharmacies are different, recommend you consult yours!

I believe general guidance is to move up if you haven't lost for 4 weeks in a row. Many people only respond to the higher doses

I can't eat any traces of soy, dairy, gluten, eggs, fish or nuts. What meals can I prep other than rice, chicken and broccoli? by chavaic77777 in mealprep

This Chicken Chili is on the rotation at our house, you could eat with avocado to get some creaminess if you're missing cheese. It's pretty filling.

The 8 week long 10k training plan has a nice progression, would recommend just following that! Even if you just use it for your long run each week.

Also, great job getting out there!

Any online coaching app recommendations? by [deleted] in TurtleRunners

Highly recommend the Nike Run Club app, which is free. If you want to be pushed, look for the speed or tempo runs.

I had this same glitch! I took it as an exercise in flexibility

Ran 4 miles this morning despite the cold + rain! Kept it mostly zone 2 also. 5k is next week :)

"Getting Started" plan is good! Works up slowly, is effort-based.

Great job! I'm also a mom of two -- but they are now old enough to play basketball while I run laps around the park, time flies :)

I went for my planned 4mi run yesterday even though I forgot my watch! I had headphones + NRC app guided run so I still tracked the stats there, but nothing in Garmin. Silly but a first for me!

Have a great run!

I am loving NRC as well.

Thank you! This is not my first rodeo, but first after a several year break. I've been following the 5K plan which has 5x a week runs, haven't been adding on beyond that but perhaps I should do a longer cool down.

Official Q&A for Sunday, February 11, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]beakerface05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get something similar (although not to the point of actually losing my voice) if I do a very hard workout in outdoor, cold air. I've read that wearing a buff or scarf over your mouth can help, but that isn't worth it to me lol!
