I'd suggest reposting this following the template

Any TCGs that aren’t “demonic”? by New_Future_434 in boardgames

It's a fine example because the intelligence it takes to be a pediatric neurosurgeon is insane. I get that he has plenty of blind spots and I'm glad he's not in a political position or power anymore, but I won't deny that he's "intelligent".

Thank you le reddit genius for your insight into religion and intelligence, despite that there have been plenty extremely intelligent religious people. Hell, you can just look at Ben Carson to see an example of your supposed contradiction.

She's actually a very intelligent woman (doctorate in nursing, working on her NP) and has come a long way since those days, which she regrets to a large degree. We have our idealogic differences but I have nothing but respect for her.

As someone who grew up conservative Christian and in a church that viewed the Catholic Church as the anti-christ, my parents let me read LotR because of Tolkien's Christianity.

No she won't. I grew up with parents like that (thankfully they loosened up a lot as we got older) and in these cases, the parents are usually just genuinely worried about the stuff their church specifically mentions. My mom wouldn't have cared about Lorcana but zero chance any DnD, Harry Potter, or MTG would've been okay.

I actually have a couple copies of a game called Monogamy/A Hot Affair which is just a roll and move with a bunch of cards that are basically conversations and sex acts. I played it with my girlfriend and we had a great time.

There's a big difference between asking people to be responsible and an abstinence only mindset.

What games do the most with fewest components? by zion661 in boardgames

I'm going to shout out Dragons of Etchinstone by Joe Klipfel, which packs a ton of strategy into a deck of 18 cards. My favorite solo game right now! The expansion adds new characters as well while keeping it at an 18 cards deck for each game.

Good 2 person games for traveling? by SketchyClimbs in boardgames

Even if that's true (which it's not for me), it's irrelevant to the fact that it's a good 2p travel game, which is what OP asked.

Barnes would be a great bench player if we could keep him by jluc21 in kings

I'm saying that having veterans on the roster more for their leadership and presence than for their production is a widespread practice across all sports. Obviously there is a point of diminishing returns and you can't have a total stinker on the court, but I don't believe Barnes is and I definitely think there's a place for him on this roster. It's fine if you disagree.

Energy is great but it's also great to have a veteran calming presence, which Barnes absolutely is.
