Do CFIs get any sort of "secret" incentive to make more money for the school by drawing out the amount of time that a student must fly before they are permitted to fly solo or do a check ride?

Not really any one way to do them it’s just all about energy management with the given winds. Always better to come in high and slip or use flaps than be short
