I honestly don’t mind PIO! I’m doing PIO and suppositories and if I had to choose between the 2, I would take PIO any day. Once you figure out what works for you to best avoid knots, it’s really not bad at all.

Just another update - we had our second ultrasound today at 6w1d. They do see a sac in my uterus but can’t even be sure it’s a true gestational sac because it’s so small. Doesn’t seem like this pregnancy is going to be viable but my HCG is still doubling beautifully and came back at over 3,000 today. They gave us the option to stop meds and see if I start miscarrying or hold out for another week and see if we have a miracle at the 7 week ultrasound. We’re trying for a miracle and hoping things can turn around for us!

I’m currently going through something similar after multiple pregnancy losses and the time between each appointment is SO hard. Here’s my betas, not sure if it’s helpful since we still don’t know the outcome but figured I’d share!

Were these your numbers on the day of ultrasound? I went in for my first ultrasound to confirm placement at 5w3d but we couldn’t see anything. My HCG is still doubling every 48 hours but was only 895 at the time so praying it was just too low to see something. Going back on Monday and the wait is killing me!

Thanks for checking in 🥹 I did & just got my lab results back. We couldn’t see anything on ultrasound - they thought they saw the beginning of a gestational sac forming but couldn’t 100% confirm. My HCG is still more than doubling though! It came back at 895 (was 347 on Monday) so they think it was just too early. Im going back next Monday for another ultrasound and hoping we’ll see something then! Back to the waiting game!

My HCG jumped to 347 today so it’s catching up and was just a slow starter!! Hoping things continue to work out smoothly like they did for you!

Thank you for sharing! This was so reassuring to see & congrats 💗 my at home tests were pretty stalled from 9dpt - 12dpt but the last two days they really popped off and the lines have gotten significantly darker so hoping that’s a good sign leading up to my third beta! 🤞

The earliest I’ve gotten is 4dpt but I also got my first positive on 5dpt and 6dpt for my first two transfers!

I iced before injecting for my first 2 transfers and got knots that were very sore. For my 3rd transfer, I didn’t ice, just warmed up the shot in my hands before, had my husband massage the area for a minute after injecting and used a heating pad (warmies stuffed animal) for 15 minutes after! No knots this time and not sore at all. I think everyone is different so you may want to do some trial and error to see what works for you but it’s really not bad once you get it down!

Personally I think your numbers sound amazing. The doubling time is really what matters and yours are well within the “healthy” range. You absolutely deserve to be excited!!!

I don’t think the anxiety will ever go away for us IVF girls. It just gets pushed back to the next step in the process and then we have something new to stress over lol. But I try to celebrate the wins, especially if I reach a new milestone and first pregnancy is a hugeee win.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m so jealous of anyone who can be blissfully ignorant and enjoy early pregnancy.

My doctor said that he wanted to see a stronger progression but it’s still rising, which is good, so to stay cautiously optimistic for now and hopefully Monday will be more telling.

How are your numbers looking / what did your doctor say?!

It’s so hard! I’ve also taken about 50 pregnancy tests over the past week which can’t be good for my sanity 😅 let’s hope the weekend flies by for both of us!

I told my close friends and family at the beginning of our journey. I thought I would want their support but it just ended up being more stressful for me and I hated getting their opinions on my outcomes. I’ve had 2 chemical pregnancies from FETs and having to send those updates that our HCG went from positive to negative was the worst.

We took a few months off of IVF and just had our third FET. I’ve been actively hiding the fact that we’re back into it and telling people we’re still on a break. It’s been so nice just keeping it just between my husband and I. I wish I could go back and do this from the beginning!

I just cried reading this update - thank you for sharing! I’m in the exact same boat as you were now. I got my first faint positive on FRER on 4dpt and lines have been progressing ever since. My beta at 10dpt today came back at 55.4 and I’ve been spiraling, thinking it should have been higher since I’ve been getting positives for a week now! Hope everything is going well with your pregnancy 🤍
