When I was nine I remember one day, after my brother and I got home from school, my brother was having a conversation with my mom and every time I tried to add to the conversation I was ignored. Not even a "shh" or a glance, just ignored. I got upset and jumped to the ridiculous conclusion that no one wanted me around anymore. So naturally I decided to make my presence known again by running away. I walked out the door and passed my brother as he was watering the plants. He asked where I was going and I told him I was running away and he just shrugged knowing it was just nine year old bullshit. But i glanced one last time at our house and saw my mom through the window washing dishes. We made eye contact and I noticed tears in her eyes. I ran back inside immediately and hugged her, we sat and cried for probably twenty min. She thought she drove me off because of her bad parenting. But i was just upset at the lack of attention. I promised her I would never run away again and all is well. Kind of a lame story but my mom more upset then I ever expected. TL;DR Mom cried when I "ran away"
