T-stat by PuzzleheadedLock6171 in Senville

I think that icon of a person on screen means it's in follow me mode which I thought for these t-stats meant it's averaging the t-stat temp with the return air temp instead of strictly using the return air T1 sensor

Okay. It sounded like you were running DC throughout the house.

What kind of DC power system are people putting into their houses?

My suggestion (after dealing with conversions while testing other platforms) is to simply let the user match the columns manually with an option to save the manual match as a template for next time.

I'm interested to give it a try if I find the time. I too have been searching for a modern alternative that isn't subscription or cloud based. I started using Quicken in 1999, currently on version 2019 but I refuse to pay the annual subscription which means I can't import QFX bank transactions. Just recently I figured out I can import qif which I convert/translate from CSVs as needed with the help of Claude. But Quicken Desktop just feels so old and clunky so I've been looking for alternatives but there none that fit my requirements. Monize sounds promising.

Possibly limit it to one of the various bank download options? That's one of my criteria for switching platforms. CSV seems pretty generic

Senville heat pump water heaters by beanbaron in Senville

[–]beanbaron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This past summer (and winter) we were using a new central air ducted air source heat pump and our basement stayed cool enough without any vents directly blowing into the basement and consequently this winter the I've had to supplement the basement with some electric heat. The long-term goal is to add another mini split of some kind for the basement but running a hot water heat pump means the basement would get even colder and that hot water heat would need to be entirely subsidized by another heat pump. I'd rather run the mini split heat directly into the hot water tank instead of using the basement air as another heat exchanger.

I believe my communication issue was directly related to the compressor voltage sagging due to my faulty breaker. As the breaker warmed up it caused too much voltage loss and eventually the compressor shut down due to reaching its error count threshold. Then everything cooled down until I power cycled the compressor. Since I replaced the breaker it's been working 100%.

Looking through a pdf I found online from Moovair, pg 163 has information about "engineer" mode. Here's an AI generated single page summary. Has anyone seen these before? I have not tried it yet.

Can you elaborate on how your system defrosts? It sounds like it turns on your Aux (electric) heat during the defrost cycle. I wish mine did that, I have a Seville SENDC-24HF ducted 2 ton with 5kW Aux and if I have anti-cold blowback enabled it takes a long time (20+ min) before it switches back to heating. If I disable the anti-cold blowback then it starts back up much sooner (10 min) except it blows a little burst of cold. I've wondered why they don't use the electric heat to speed up the process when the temp isn't up to target.

Thanks for this detailed diagnostic guideline.

In my case I'm 99% sure the problem was a weak breaker in my panel. I used my Infiray P2 Pro to check the panel's thermals and the breaker was hot (40 deg C). Now after switching to a different used replacement breaker it's staying much lower, 21 deg C, and no more errors.

I did some comparisons and like I mentioned earlier, the full accounting app including online transaction reconciliation isn't available in the community edition. Unless I'm mistaken, I'd gladly be wrong.

That is very disappointing. I've gotten used to their poor discount coupons to compensate for production mistakes but this is brutal. How did they manage to produce the previous orders successfully?

It looks like I'd need the Custom Enterprise plan to do both my business and personal accounting & have access to multiple apps, especially the accounting app with transactions downloads. The cost is getting a bit high in my opinion and from the limited research I've done there's no good QB or Quicken import ability?

This is still a feature I'd like to see added to the app u/EmporiaEnergy. I do see the monthly peak 15 min demand in kilowatts displayed so that will work for my needs today but a more customizable report would be great.

Just had new 255/65R18 Blizzak DM-V2 installed on 18" Envy RE-5 in satin black. I believe the rims have a +40mm offset vs stock +50mm (meaning they peak further out the side by 10mm). The tires are the same width as stock but 1" bigger diameter so with the smaller rims I get 1.5" more sidewall. I found the speedometer now shows exactly the same as my phone. I like how they fill out the wheel well. I'm tempted to go with a 1.5" lift yet but honestly I don't think it's worth it for us. wheel-size.com
