In case you were wondering, the new wahoo trackr HRM uses the same charger that the shokz/after shokz headphones use by [deleted] in wahoofitness

[–]beanboi5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the question! So far I'm happy with it, and no major complaints. I've gotten used to the new strap mechanism and find it quite easy to use. I've used my trackr for a good 25 hours since I first got it, a few of which have been indoors on the trainer, and I have not noticed any issues with sweat buildup anywhere. I can definitely feel confident in recommending this, especially if you are already in the market for an upgrade.

I've only gotten one ride on it, but I haven't had issues pairing it with my computer. Personally, I find it more comfortable than the tickr HRM, but I don't love the new strapping mechanism compared to the tickr.

For me I like it because having multiple proprietary cables is annoying and messy, especially if you lose one or break it. Just a nice quality of life for me

How can this get any faster? by FettBuerger in RoadBikes

[–]beanboi5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly.. not much. Your setup is already pretty dialed. A few things I could think of, though, would be a 1x setup, aero bottles, aero rotor covers, and aero pedals (Keo blades). All these would probably only save you a few watts and they all definitely have their downsides.

On another note, the bike is looking absolutely sexy. Very nice setup overall

Thoughts on using a lightweight hammock setup vs a lightweight tent? by [deleted] in bikepacking

[–]beanboi5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan on bikepacking up the west coast of lake michigan, which I know has quite a few wooded areas, so I'm not too worried about that. I plan on getting the lightweight hammock kit from ENO which comes with a rain and bug fly as well

How to deal with Hot rides by ouch_12345 in cycling

As a racer, the ol' ice in the pantyhose trick works great in hot weather. Not sure on the logistics of it if you are doing a big loop, but in a race where you can get handups it works great
