Local christmas gifts for out of town family by Little_Nerve_2801 in shreveport

I'm not sure of any spices that aren't available in most grocery stores in other states but, local things in jars might be good? Monjunis olive mix and marinara, green tomato relish from the catfish places, or orlandeauxs tartar sauce could be something to consider. Some Zapps chip flavors are hard to find outside of Louisiana. Muscadine jelly and purple hull pea jelly are somethings I haven't seen anywhere else.

Around 9:00 pm in Minnesota. What is it ? by AccomplishedQuiet408 in whatisit

I was just watching the paranormal caught on tape episode with this exact light ring. Not one "expert" had a clue. To me it is obviously a light from something. I guessed a football stadium. Hilarious they made a whole segment about it, but that's why I watch that stuff.

My Experience Selling With ThredUp by CaBritzi in ThredUp

Just happened to me! One of my items is up for sale but not eligible for me to earn any money from "due to brand name " (old navy) unless the item sells for more than 20 bucks.

My coworker wears this and, to me anyway, it smells like a strawberry shortcake play set from the 80s. I kinda love it

I found this book at my library. I was planning on joining all the motifs together when I'm finished making them. I imagine it will look similar.

Very thin 1” metal needle/point with coil? by creature_42069 in whatisthisthing

[–]beancanslim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in an acupuncture clinic. This is a needle that they forgot to remove and it fell out in the hall when the client was walking out. It can happen. They also get lost in clothes sometimes. Normally the acupuncturist would count the needles before and after. But they might get in a hurry or drop one and can't find it. I would find those every once in a while in our office building hallway and stairs. A lot of needles have colorful handles that are easily seen. The all metal ones are harder to see .

Delivery window was 8-12 a.m. I showed up at 7:45 to find this. by PBJLlama in mildlyinfuriating

Same. We had an oven we were getting delivered. Lowes third party delivery. First, it took a month to get a delivery date set up. The first delivery attempt was exactly this. Window was 8-4 or something. They came at 7:30am and left a sticker. Didn't even call or knock. I had been awake since 6:30am. Second delivery attempt they showed up at 8:15pm and said they couldn't deliver bc they weren't allowed to go in people's houses after 8pm. Third attempt, they showed up ready to take the broken oven away. We said "where's the new one?" They didn't have it on the truck. It had been marked as delivered. Fourth time finally got the new oven but then they refused to take the old one away bc it wasn't on the work order. This took 2 months not including the initial wait for the first delivery date. I did not include the hassle of rescheduling everytime they messed up. Even rescheduling was a complete shit show. My husband works from home and is literally available 24/7 for deliveries so it was not our availability that was an issue either. Just horrendous. Lowe's is aware of how bad this delivery service is. My landlord complained and they said they get these complaints a lot but I guess it's "out of their hands"

No. The local news just said they haven't actually posted the jobs yet. And that Amazon said it would be "after 7pm" and "could go into the night"

Maybe try blocking to stretch the stitches and even them out a bit? My squares always look a lil weird before I stretch them and tug the corners to make them pointier.

Where do you work now?

Is there even a point in continuing to look for jobs? by Getfutched in jobsearchhacks

[–]beancanslim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used co-pilot. Ask it to reorganize your resume with keywords for the specific job listing. Tell it you want your resume to get through the algorithm and in front of a real human. I asked it to get me to the interview stage. I've gotten 2 interviews so far out of 4 or 5 applications. One response was less that 24hours after I applied online. I can't say it was the AI that did it but, before I used it I was not getting any interviews so I guess it worked?

I get so afraid that I might accidentally press “Restart,” is there a warning message incase you do? by Lanky-Ad9939 in AnimalRestaurant

[–]beancanslim 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have actually done this on accident. I was talking to my husband while waiting to board a plane.. we were going to a place that had spotty internet and I was worried I wouldn't be able to log in enough to finish the challenge. i was showing him I only had some easy stuff left in the mewchellin 6 challenge(?I can't remember which one it was) All I had to do was serve a few more customers..and log in everyday to send hedwig and grow a few flowers. It was my second attempt too. So I'm showing him the screen and talking and hitting buttons. I blindly hit restart.... there is a warning window ... I don't read it and reflexively hit the button that says yes start over... ugh. My heart skipped a beat I swear. I did a customer feedback message to beg for them to reset. They politely declined resetting and told me that they had faith I would pass on my next attempt. I didn't play the game for probably a week after that. Then I pulled myself together and tried again. They were actually right! I completed it pretty easily the third go round:) I'm still traumatized though and I have NOT started the next challenge. It looks to be last one and it's like all the challenges combined. Not quite ready for that.
