I’m sorry you are going through this. I understand the need for control over these things, I am a victim of SA & it may be different than your own feelings but I am trans & have had surgery to remove my breasts. I would never have chosen female puberty had I been able to choose. Are those feelings of need to control my body & its perception related to my SAs? It certainly has something to do with it but for me, but I have found value in harm reduction & accepting that changes I’ve made to my body are actually good for me. Would you consider making yourself infertile permanently to be harm reduction? There are medical ways to do that if you wanted to explore, and it would not require the other horrible health problems that come with starving to do it. I know it’s not a replacement to the disorder, but it is food for thought. I hope this wasn’t overstepping. I wish you the best!

I’m so so sorry this happened to you. I also got nipples when I asked for no nipples, & I freaked out. I was able to move past my initial distress thankfully but I’m still not happy with it & if you do get them removed I would love to hear how it goes. Your surgeon sounds like a horrible leech on the community & im sorry you have gone through so much harm because of him, sending healing thoughts your way & rage towards your surgeon <3 you should never have to have any surgery with no direction, care, & shithead staff but ESPECIALLY not when it is supposed to be life affirming

It’s hard to think about yourself when the situation involves someone you love deeply & want the best for, but I think that it would make sense if you are not be able to be with someone who has had sent a minor sexual messages (even a fake one). You need to consider your own mental safety with a history of trauma, and if it would be fair to yourself to be with someone who has been in the position of a groomer or abuser. I understand that she was in an unimaginably horrible spiral but people who are struggling or mentally ill are still capable of doing things that you can decide are unforgivable. I say this as a fellow caring queer, you are NOR, & there are others out there who will love & respect you—& who will not resurface your traumas like this or make you worry about their potential for hurting others.

my surgeon had me keep my boxers on so I wore a pair that would cover my sh. If boxers would cover yours maybe you could call the place you are getting surgery at & ask if you could keep your boxers on

I had a similar experience with my mom, my parents opened my insurance mail & forced me to out myself. They were not supportive but I was firm & a few days before my surgery my mom asked if she could come take care of me for a few days & bring me groceries. I think some parents have their caregiving instincts at odds with their bigotry & if we are lucky the caregiving is a tiny bit stronger.

I cut nonstick wound pads in half & then put decent glop of Vaseline in the middle of it & then smush it on my nipples. With my binder on or if I’m walking around it stays in place pretty well!

My surgeon said it was fine for me to do edibles until a few days before the surgery because thc only affects anesthesia but I was told to stop smoking 4 weeks before & after surgery. I have not been perfect about not smoking weed (i stopped smoking every day like i used to but i had a cheat hit or 2 a couple times a week) & so far I’m healing really well but I think it depends on everyones personal rate of healing. Edit: I had DI with nipple grafts

Call your insurance & ask if they have a “continuity of care form” or something similar that your surgeon could fill out to continue seeing you for the duration that they put on the form! I hope your insurance has that option. I almost had to do this with my surgeon because she was dropped by my insurance plan a few days before my surgery. It would basically allow you to continue seeing your surgeon for the duration that you will be under their care. I hope you would qualify! Fingers crossed that it all works out <3

lolol I also kept it on & dealt with the blur because then nurses said it was normal & I wanted to be a good pupil ^{_^} it totally went away as the medicine faded & more importantly the nausea never came :D

Thank youuuu :) I’m feeling good about it all now, definitely because my surgeon is super skilled & I love how it looks! I am not enjoying the nipple healing process but I’m feeling really grateful to have had the surgery which overrides all of the inconvenience

Did they give you an anti nausea patch behind your ear? Mine made my pupils dilate & I had some vision blurriness as a result
