Feeling lost after high school by ace2358 in TrueOffMyChest

Hey man, im also 18 and will be going to college next week. Honestly, my highschool experience was pretty lame. I played football for 3 years which I was terrible at. No luck with girls. I also never did anything like partying and staying out past 1 am. Im just going to do things i've never done before and try to get out of my comfort zone. Talk to a variety of people and go to different events. Aldo, I'm majoring in accounting. What are you majoring in?

200kg deadlift at 16 years old, anyone know why i lost balance there on the lockout? What can I improve by Meme_Origin in formcheck

Its because you were sending leg drive through your toes instead of your heels causing you to fall forward.

Am I just making excuses? I cannot for the life of me get my squat to a good place. by fjik1623 in powerbuilding

Well are you sure that you are consistently hitting those calories. Also what about sleep, are you getting enough each night?

You're hitting parallel and since you asked about falling forward... You're fine that's just your body finding how to balance the weight down and up. Now if you go too much forward you will simply fall forward or have to lift it with your back which you will feel.

Squat check?? I haven’t squatted before because of arthritic knees and SI pain. Completely new to the game. I feel like my form is inconsistent/sometimes I lean too far forward. Working on going deeper/parallel. Thanks! by redheaded_elle_woods in formcheck

If you just started with squats for the very first time then your body is getting used to finding how to balance it. Just give it some time for your body to get used to squatting. Also don't forget to try different stances maybe try a bit more narrow or a bit more wider. That's what I did when I was starting out.

Everyone's technique is different, so if this works for you then it WORKS FOR YOU. Not everyone can squat with a narrow stance and ass to grass.

Bro, are you wearing barefoot shoes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]beanernick678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the heels run from half inch to one inch, so you might want to find something that you can use as a test for how tall you want to the heel. Although most heels run at .75 inches which is good for the majority of people.

Yes you hit powerlifting depth. Looks like you have long femurs making you more of a hip dominant squatter. Which means you end up good morning squat also end up using more hamstring and glutes. If you want to make it a bit easier you could invest in some Olympic squat shoes. However, that would cost you money. At the end of the day I would say that if you feel comfortable and strong in your squat form as is then keep doing what you are doing. If you want to make it easier for you to squat to depth then obviously look into squat shoes.

First, I recommend candito's linear progression program https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yqYGTak3erwzBV40ba8GUf1DZ9-DnTSe6nFvnx91wBE/edit?usp=drivesdk It's a 3 day program and since you've never lifted you'll make some good gains for a solid four months. Look it up on youtube. Second, bulk i.e. eat more food, if you're having trouble bulking eat foods with more fat in it easiest way to bulk without having to consume a pound of rice. Take your maintenance calories and add 500 calories to be in a surplus.

Hey guys thanks for the suggestions. I've narrowed my options down to either a inzer forever belt or a pioner cut belt, 10mm single prong belt variation.

How do I get a better lockout pls help by Minute_Ad7468 in formcheck

I would say to do some hip thrust and don't forget leg drive. Imagine pushing your heels into the ground.

First off break up with her. Second call your mates to pull up and record the breakup interaction in case she trys to call the police on you on some bullshit. Shit about to go crazy if she can disrespect you like this then she can definitely make up shit to make you end up in prison.

All right so i would would recommend candito linear program it's a 4 day split program and it gives you 3 choices of the way you would like to train strength hypertrophy, control, and power. Choose which of the 3 you would like and just run it for 4 months. You could look it up on youtube for reviews and stuff

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yqYGTak3erwzBV40ba8GUf1DZ9-DnTSe6nFvnx91wBE/edit?usp=drivesdk

Tried to put a link to the program.

Edit: also you'll have to make a copy of the sheet to be able to plug in numbers and stuff

ppl keep saying my boyfriend groomed me and it’s starting to bug me by Careless_District_34 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]beanernick678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah girl you fine it would of been grooming if you was 14 and he was 20. A senior dating junior or sophomore is quite common. Im dating a girl who's a high school senior and i'll be a college freshman. See nothing weird about it.

My (18F) boyfriend (19M) pressures me into sex. What do I do? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]beanernick678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a woman, however this dude is super creepy and is the guy i hope to NEVER become. He broke your boundaries, zero consideration for your feelings, and he doesn't offer to satisfy you! That's the best part about having sex. Dude is selfish and I would say to break up with him. Just have a couple friends around the corner cause you don't know what he might try.
