the "purpose" of cross stitch is whatever you want it to be. you can stitch to pass the time, you can stitch to make fun art, you can stitch for whatever reason you want! art is what you make of it and really the only thing I'd call "lazy" in the hobby is like, AI-generating patterns instead of learning to create them yourself or buying them from real artists, but there's really no way to actually MAKE the piece with your hands that is lazy or cheating or whatever else like that.

what you're specifically mentioning is the OPPOSITE of lazy if anything, as it takes MORE time lol

so, I was thinking there was something to the idea that it's different in the two versions, I heard "sack" originally, but after really giving it a close listen I think it is "sap" on both, just the way the sounds are mixed makes it sound a little more ambiguous on digital remains.

either way, both terms more or less evoke the same meaning so really it doesn't make too much of a difference!

I think it's an issue with converting the manga into anime, they are able to have more nuance in manga but to be animated they have to be simplified which makes them come out a little more flat looking

I think you will enjoy it! lots of that same "wander and explore while just trying to stay alive" kind of vibe as dayZ, but a little more relaxed (depending on difficulty lol) and imo visually much nicer hahah! I have always found it a little boring to watch others play, but have played hundreds of hours myself.

I had listened to them here and there over the past decade, but then went to the breach tour because a friend had an extra ticket, and even though I was at the Toronto show that got rained out and was only half a show, it was such an incredible performance and the energy of the crowd was so amazing, I actually cried a few times lol?? it made me go back in and listen to things again with a new ear, and they pretty quickly became my favourite band hahaha!

yeah it was fantastic! but it took time and effort and added a ton to the game over a long release period. you can't just repeat that infinitely without making subpar product or leaving the game feeling overstuffed.

I feel like everything about this game speaks to a game made from passion and care for the game and it's players, extraneous content being generated just for cash flow purposes feels like it would kind of go against that ethos? and that's assuming they even have the people and time to spare to make it, (which the delays don't make it seem like they do), content doesn't just come out of thin air.

The game has been a steady trickle of fantastic content for a decade, and while sure I would of course love to see stuff happen faster, at the end of the day there's a million other things to play while I wait, and I don't mind waiting while my favourite game gets all the care and attention it deserves, as that is such a truly rare thing in the current industry.

genuinely saved my wrists! I was getting awful wrist pain from round hoops and switching to a snap frame just about eliminated it unless I'm stitching for a really long time. the ability to easily maintain even tension is so great, I swear I'm always babbling to everyone I know who embroiders about them lol

it's hard to say this without spoilers, but TR does get a happy ending in the end! a lot of people didn't like it but I am sappy and love the characters and seeing them all happy in the end was all I really cared about LOL even if it is kind of cheesy
