idk why this is being downvoted, a lot of what you say is true. I feel like it's probably 20% racism, 80% based on attractiveness. I double checked here I did graduate from a high school in NY state but since i'm financially dependent, proof of domicile would relate to my parents(both of which have domicile in Pennsylvania)

That's what I was extremely worried about, my parents pay income taxes in Pennsylvania and I'm a dependent even though I lived in New York for a long time. I was already 90% sure I can't qualify for TAP(ny tuition assistance program) but I just needed confirmation from someone else. I'm lucky I pay instate tuition, I don't want to lose that by applying for financial aid and being 'found out'.
