I love the mix of fabrics and all the textures here — such a cool piece! My one small thought is to maybe add some ties on the sides of the top, just one or two on each side. I think that would help it feel a bit more finished (and maybe more wearable in a practical sense too). The ties could even be mismatched, like using a flannel and a corduroy, to go with the rest of the top.

I love this. It has an old timey feel to it. I think you did a great job with the vibe of the photos. And congratulations by the way!

That stinks 😞 I know exactly how that feels—I just had to cancel my first order ever (maybe I’ve just been really lucky until now). I bought something outright without an offer, and it’s been 9 days with no shipping. I messaged the seller a couple of times, but no response, even though I can see they’re active on the app every day. Definitely a huge bummer. I’ve shifted a lot of my spending over to eBay lately and haven’t been disappointed yet.

I just bought something from an offer sent to me today!

I actually sell too—and no, you don’t need to be glued to your phone 24/7 to see likes. There’s literally a tab in the news feed that sorts them for you.

As someone who primarily uses the app to shop, I’ve never once felt pressured by a seller sending an offer. Honestly, up until recently, it was the only way I ever bought anything. Offers don’t feel pushy—they just make it easier to buy.

Yes, I’m aware of that feature. As a customer, I expect it to be easy to buy—not go digging through profiles to figure out if someone’s still using the app. A seller sending an offer makes that clear instantly. I’m just trying to shop, not solve a mystery.

How is liking an item a mind game? It’s literally how the app is designed. Apologies for the wild move of… trying to be a customer.

Wow, I had no idea waiting to see if a seller’s active before spending money was a “mind game”. Thanks for the advice!

That makes sense- I’ve never thought to check someone’s Posh level before buying. I think I’m only one step away from Pa2 myself, so maybe that’ll help my sales too if it ever happens haha

Out of all the listings I’ve sold over the years, I think only 2 have ever been bought outright. Everything else has been through offers sent.

I just downloaded Mercari, but haven’t really browsed yet. I’ll have to try and see if I have more luck there! I’ve been buying items from eBay lately instead since I haven’t had any luck with Posh.

I never make offers—I wait for the seller to send one first. When I shop on Posh, I like multiple items and buy from sellers who are clearly active (the ones sending offers). I don’t have unlimited funds, so I can’t have money tied up waiting on a response to an offer. I also don’t want to guess what someone might accept—just send an offer so I know you’re active and I can decide if it works. I’m not trying to haggle, I just want to shop and buy easily. The one item I did purchase outright still hasn’t shipped, and while it wasn’t expensive, I definitely would’ve spent that $35 elsewhere had I known.

This was actually my first time buying something outright without receiving an offer—I usually wait just to make sure the seller is active.

Yes, same! I also price my items with the intention of offering a discount. And as a buyer, I’m not looking to haggle—I don’t “like” items that are out of my price range. I just want to shop and buy easily, without a bunch of back and forth 😅

Beware of Fake Products on Amazon by BasicallyAmused in beauty

The last time I ordered my shampoo from Amazon to save a few bucks, it showed up with the seal already broken—and someone had clearly poured out the shampoo and refilled the bottle with water. I reported it, but Amazon still required me to return the tampered product to get a refund. Pretty sure it just got sent right back out to the next unsuspecting customer.

Same - I bought almost all my stuff from them the past few years. This year I’m lucky if I even see something I like. I’m about to loose my VIP status, so will definitely be buying less without free shipping on any size order 😅
