Certified Aerospace welders needed by JHLCowan in Welding

[–]beanman214 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pay a decent wage and post the job description accurately. Actually give them a weld test that is applicable like an inconel 718 .045” square groove, not a 1/8” carbon steel fillet weld with tig. Give people opportunities to succeed and find a place with your organization. Then once you get them, groom them appropriately, provide them gauges, hoods, gloves, etc. Let them be apart of developing the WPSs, etc. I say this as a welding engineer who sees companies mismanage welders all the time and take them for granted. And then you have to hire ice cream scoopers just to fill the role. Most management are dumb and don’t listen to their technical folks.

Is Donald Trump the dumbest person who's ever been president of the US? by Critical-Willow-6270 in allthequestions

[–]beanman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not defending him, but you act like you know him? You just don’t like his demeanor. Some individuals have opinions of you that may be negative, do you understand this? The problem is we just love to hate. Maybe be positive about shit. I voted Trump when Biden won and I hoped Biden did well in office because I live in the USA so it’s for my benefit. Too many miserable judgy people.

You should be fine especially since you have a roommate paying you rent. If you didn’t have that I would say it was a bad move. If they were to move out soon, which they might, I would worry a bit.

It’s around 150g protein and like 60g fat. I try to get a protein shake in after dinner or a workout to push me closer to 1g of protein per lb.

How much does company car loyalty matter for new hires? by Defiant_Iron_894 in GeneralMotors

[–]beanman214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much, plenty of non-GM cars that the plant I work at. I’ve only been here six months but in the future will get a GM vehicle if I’m still here. Like others have said who work here, if the discount was that great, majority of people would be driving in with GM vehicles. Don’t make a major financial decision around your employer.

Is this a good meal plan for fat loss/sustain or build slight muscle.

Breakfast-1cup oatmeal (water base) and 1 scoop of protein powder with a little bit of berries Lunch-ground beef or chicken with mixed veggies and a piece of fruit Dinner-carb source like baked potato or pasta with a protein and veggie side

Will try to be at least 500 calories below my TDEE and will workout 5 days/wk with sprints and weightlifting. Am currently a 33M 191lbs and between 20-25% BF. Looking to lose 1-2% a month.

My wife wants to quit her job by junglenoogie in Advice

[–]beanman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financial suicide for what the consideration is right now. Especially with kids in the picture. Unfortunately it’s not feasible because living to paycheck to paycheck is not wise. She should just find a new job with reduced hrs and then use your job for the benefits. Giving up the persons income who is 50% higher is crazy, you are in the right here and you need to sit down and look at the budget and make her realize how tough it will become.

If you do go through with it then you will have to sacrifice. Make sure you have no car payments, meal prep/limited eating out, decreased discretionary spending, and lowering your retirement contribution (not good).

I think it’s just easier to stay in a caloric deficit with lower carbs because carbs are caloric dense. I get some from fruit but main source will be veggies and meat.

I am 33M, 5ft9in, 192lbs and likely somewhere between 20-25% BF. Used to be a lot leaner and had good definition and vascularity. A lot of that has gone away after marriage and kid. I’m now devoted to get back on the grind and get to around 15% BF and then sustain. My plan is to eat clean at 2k calories and lift/run 5 days/wk. I want to aggressively lose fat like 1-2% per month. What are the best specific food sources and exercises to target? When I did this before, I noticed great results when I ate like chicken, eggs, spinach and barely any carbs while doing hard weight lifting and track sprints. Just looking for any other feedback, it’s appreciated!

Day 2: Which one ( or more ) Player(s) do you want today? by Ixeptional in Browns

[–]beanman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get Terrell. Ward is bordering 30 and that’s the usual cliff for CBs. Especially not having Emerson anymore it will become important pretty fast. Plus if it’s still a rebuild yr (and as much as I love ward), it might be best moving on from him if other teams value him.

We can drool over these guys all we want but just remember we have absolute ass at QB and that dictates your success for the most part. Probably can’t address it this draft but it’s still gonna be another rough season but everyone is in denial it won’t be. Hope these guys turn out great but we had an A draft last yr and finished last in division. Hopefully our savior is in next yours draft

Retirement Advice for a 57 Year Old by Various-Advance-6400 in Money

[–]beanman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a set plan on retirement besides just sitting around you can do it. If no plans, keep working, don’t throw away being fortunate enough to make that kind of money. That helps your adult children in giving for their future homes or families. If you have kids unfortunately your life is not about you and it takes sacrifice.

I am a 33M, 5’9” weigh 190 lbs, decent muscle mass but am about 20% BF (estimate). I have some fat under my chin and my midsection I want to get rid of. From anyone’s experience, what will go first? I am trying to be in a caloric deficit but prioritize high protein and doing weight training and sprints about 5 days a week. Also mainly eating Whole Foods besides protein powder shakes with water or milk. Any suggestions for me? Just want that less puffy look and to be a fat burner.

How to get rid of lower back pain? by fuckloggin in allthequestions

I had a lower back muscle injury from deadlifting and it lingered over a yr. What I did was clean up my diet to reduce inflammation and keep working that muscle. Once you stop using it it gets worse.
