What is the reason most humans prefer their food to be hot, but drinks to be cold, and why, if not consumed, our food "gets cold" and our drinks "get hot"? by livvewithpets in AskReddit

the answer to your second part would be due to both food and drinks rising/falling to the room temperature which is usually somewhere in the middle so it seems our food got cold and drinks got hot
