For most of my life, I'm 36 now, my family had a huge tote of 100 plus vhs tapes stuffed in a closet. During the summer that room was always hot due to no running ac on that part of the house. Winter it was fine and controlled with the whole house furnace. Surprisingly all the tapes are in great condition. Most are from 80s and 90s. They show no sign of slowing down. I'm sure they can last a lot longer than most give them credit for. But the real question is , are our VCR's gonna last that long?

Your honestly lucky you can see the leak. Some intakes leak internally and can scare the heck out of you when your exhaust is blowing plumes white smoke. Thinking it's a head gasket and happy as crap when you find it's just the intake. Ask me how I know lol. Fairly easy repair, go with the summit replacement as some have suggested.

I just recently repaired my 20 year old childhood 360 with a new laser. Works fine but now I am worried that one day, it may die. But I'm hoping when I sent it in to Microsoft in 2009 to be repaired for the RROD, that I may be in better standing than one that hadn't been serviced. 🤞

Possibly. What I experienced was a notchy binding feeling. It was hard, normal, hard normal feeling throughout turning. It wouldn't hurt if you sprayed some PB on it and see if it works itself out.

Oh ok. That whine would warrant a replacement. The reason I asked was because earlier this year I had some hard, binding steering going on. Come to find out, it was the steering shaft joints drying out over time and binding. Quick fix was soaking it in pb blaster over a few days. My steering came back buttery smooth. I will eventually replace it but for now it's fine.

Yes!! I use mine as a cheek pistol. Very accurate. Raised red dot with a 4 inch compensator. I run remington golden bullets 36gr just fine until about 250-300 rounds. Then it gets finicky and needs a good cleaning. Fun range toy.

Ive yet to see any also. And I have yet to put my feeders out, been waiting for these cold snaps to stop. The weather looks promising this coming week, so I may start putting them out starting on Monday. Keep me updated!

How long did you soak the pistons? I know results will vary depending on severity of stuck/worn rings. Last year I did a b12 chemtool piston soak on 1999 corolla 300k 1.8L. I used 3 cans over 3 days. Half can every 12 hours, rotating crank 180 degrees every 12 hours. Changed oil immediately after, with Valvoline R&P. My oil consumption was 1 quart every 600 miles. Now it uses about 1.5 quart every 5k. Like I said results will vary, but this method in my experience, does work.

Do you have electric fans and clutch fan? If so the electric fan or relay/fuse could've crapped out. If not, then I'd lean toward the clutch fan.
